They are absolutely necessary for me, from the maternity ward where I constantly wore them when I couldn't have my breast out, so that the clothing wouldn't touch the nipple, until today, at 5 weeks, where I wear a shell on the other breast during each breastfeeding session because milk leaks. You don't have any leaks because they only have one hole on the top part. I recommend them!
