It offers a complete data protection package. It is waterproof IPX7, which means it can survive accidental immersions up to 30 minutes at a depth of 1m. It is also waterproof and dust resistant to protect data even during life's toughest adventures.
Smart Cable Management
Where is the cable?
Thanks to the innovative cable management feature, it is always available when needed, but invisible when the drive is deactivated.
Time is precious - Don't waste it
The SuperSpeed USB 3.2 Gen 1 (USB 3.1 Gen 1 & USB 3.0) interface offers exceptional read/write speeds. It saves you valuable time when processing or storing large files, including graphics and HD videos.
Specifications are collected from official manufacturer websites. Please verify the specifications before proceeding with your final purchase. If you notice any problem you can

It shows sturdy construction.
I hope it doesn't need to prove its durability. What appears to be a case in the photo is actually a recess that the short cable has, which is why it is wider than regular disks and heavier.
It comes with 2 cables, 1 very short, which I would call necessary, and a regular one.
Interestingly, both ends are regular USB A.
In the first transfers I made (total of 100 GB), everything was fine.
-from the computer at speeds up to 135mb/sec &
-from another USB3 disk at speeds up to 95mb/sec.
-plays movies normally on the TV
Mapa, unfortunately. Personally, it caused me trouble from very early on. After about 1 year, it crashed completely. I managed to save a part, but valuable files were lost. Such a waste :(
After 1.5 years while transferring some files from my laptop, it gave me a write error twice, which I didn't pay much attention to. After about 2 days, it completely stopped working and no computer or device could read it. I sent it back due to warranty and it was confirmed that it was broken. They sent me another one, but what can I do? I lost my data. That's why always backup and never use such a disk again. For those who don't know, this company uses its own enclosure, which indeed can be waterproof and resistant to falls (I didn't test it), but the disk inside is lousy. The first time it had Seagate, now it has Toshiba. Seagate is not known for its reliability, I hope Toshiba turns out better. What can I do if it's advertised as waterproof and durable, but the disk inside is garbage?
Unfortunately, I got a bad watermelon, after 14 months suddenly without any warning it started to take a long time to load the files I had saved, in the next 5 minutes nothing could run, so I formatted it and tried to put files again but nothing worked. I took care of it like my own eyes, it had never fallen and its usage was extremely amateur and infrequent. I don't know what went wrong, but when I have much cheaper disks for over 5 years and they have no issues, this disk with all its characteristics and durability disappointed me. I give it 1 star because there is no option for none!
After several months of use and many falls, the "inevitable" happened! My daughter knocked it down from the computer desk and it fell on one corner while she was doing a backup, resulting in the PC not recognizing it. (maybe it needs a longer USB cable after all) I would lose a week's worth of data since I only back up music, personal videos, and photos. I won't even discuss the cost of repair!!! From what I saw on the internet... impossible!
After a day of thinking, I decided to take the step... to open it up! The problem was mechanical, not electronic!!! I watched this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zcr0ah8hjAk) and finally opened it 5 minutes ago... I did exactly what he does in the video... unlocked the head and... it's working perfectly again! Knock on wood!!! (better wear gloves)
Internally, it's perfect, almost well-insulated with 2 rubber bases supporting it and it seems waterproof! (https://www.bjorn3d.com/2013/05/silicon-power-armor-a80-1tb-usb-3-0-portable-drive/) Mine is not anymore since it has a crack in the corner where it fell! Anyway, I would buy it again for its reliability! It's worth the money and more! Actually, I'm thinking of getting a third backup from the same company! Don't hesitate! Buy it! 5 stars from me.
The hard drive is immortal. I mistreated it enough and it always remained functional and fast. With such performance, there is no chance I will buy a conventional hard drive again. A big bravo to the manufacturers.
