"Troas" is a trio, three monologues in three parts. In the first, each of the three characters, Priam, Hector, and Astyanax, speaks about their experience of the war. In the second, each character speaks as one of the other three. In the third, Troas speaks with the words of all three: a voice that encompasses and surpasses the three generations, leading to a complete and final summary.
