Wendy is a country singer. Gerard is unemployed, but he has bet himself to spend five dollars a day (not including rent).
They live in Seattle, a city where it rains constantly. They love each other - in their own way - but they are not happy. Wendy leaves for a tour in Alaska. She writes letters to Gerard, but he does not respond: he is tired, he wants his peace and quiet.

A misunderstanding occurs: Wendy despairs and explodes from her misery. However, Alaska is not just snow and bears and wild nature. It is a place where anything can happen. And it does.
