If one opens an encyclopedia and looks up the entry "Albanians," they will not find sufficient and enlightening information about the origin of the Albanians. This fact is a cause of ignorance and confusion regarding the issue of the ethnogenesis of the Albanian people, to the extent that there are many voices that confuse the Albanians and Albania of the Caucasus with the Albanian Skipetars of our neighboring Albania, which, incidentally, have absolutely no relation.
The same can be said for the entry "Arvanites," where documented scientific knowledge is often mixed with unproven theories and arbitrary leaps, which distance us from the truth and cause serious misunderstandings.
All these issues are put into scientific order, as they are documented and classified in an admittedly exhaustive manner in the 504 pages and thousands of footnotes of Dimitris Evangelidis' book "The Origin of the Albanians and the Arvanite-speaking Greeks," published by Infognomon Editions.
