Description

With the grace of God and the intercessions of Saint Luke, with this volume we continue and complete the journey with the holy shepherd and physician. Our final destination is the peninsula of Crimea, where the Saint was born and lived the last years of his earthly life. This volume is somewhat different from the previous ones. While still a travelogue, it is primarily a record of testimonies from people who knew him or lived with him.
During the fifteen years he spent in Crimea, he did not experience the persecutions of previous years. However, he faced a subtle persecution from the atheistic authorities, which caused him great mental pain. This underground war is revealed through the recently discovered KGB archives, which provide a different perspective on the Saint's martyrdom. The ancient persecutors of Christians, with their accounts, became a source of information for us about the holy martyrs, unintentionally becoming hagiographers. In a similar way, the contemporary persecutors and informants of secret services, with their confidential reports and exposés, supplement our knowledge of the Saint and reveal to us his more brilliant, purer form.

In the third and final volume of our "journey" with the Saint, we learn about his life in the Crimea peninsula.

Preceding are volumes A and B.
