Description

Attempting to dialectically read Marx's relationship to democracy with Marx's communism, the author argues that Marx of democracy, Marx who has not yet joined the communist assumption, without reducing to a precondition "from what is without" the abolition of representative institutions and processes for the functioning of "true democracy", however indicates the importance of direct citizen participation in the collective functions of the state.

Using elements from the wealth of Marxist thought, without ignoring at the same time the adventures of Marxist dialectic and socialist movements, the present study aims to be a minimal, even contribution to the emergence of the peculiar Marxist theory of democracy; peculiar indeed, if it is proven that, in the dynamics of its development and through the class struggle, the Marxist theory of democracy, both as "true democracy" (1843) and as Commune (1871), constitutes a strategy with the ultimate goal of the end of politics as power and privilege of a ruling minority and its replacement by politics as a way of life, as a culture of community of individuals in a world without classes and state.
