The camera was purchased for 580 euros. It was installed in a field, without any light (at night) and power. In the morning, it does not have enough time to charge from the sun with the panel it has, resulting in not being able to operate all night. It is constantly on and not motion activated, which means continuous discharge.
As for materials, it is mostly made of plastic (probably to not raise temperature in the summer, and cold in the winter). So far (5 months of operation) it has not had any issues with the weather.
