Minus 1 star because the old model of the Bialetti Brikka had better build quality and had a valve on top that made the coffee creamier, but compared to other espresso makers, it produces much better coffee and not burnt or watery like a Moka express for example. Also a bit pricey. Prefer coffee ground to level 4 from a coffee shop and not pre-packaged, also check out some helpful videos on YouTube!

After almost 6 months of daily use, I have the following to say:
1. The result is satisfactory in taste. After a few trials, I have brought the coffee to my liking.
2. The "crema" is actually foam and it lasts for a short time (it requires experimentation with the thickness/grind of the coffee, the quantity/temperature of the water, and the intensity of the heat for better results. If you spend more time experimenting, you may achieve a more satisfactory foam).
3. The quality-to-price ratio is not good. Considering its cost, the finish is poor.
4. It consumes significantly larger quantities of coffee compared to an automatic espresso machine.
5. It is a time-consuming process, and cleaning it after each use is a bit of a hassle (allow approximately 15 minutes for the entire process along with a thorough cleaning).
6. If you drink cappuccino, then you need the 4cups version.

I bought it for camping so I don't use it every day. I give it 5 stars because compared to a regular briki that I had, it made a really really good coffee. It's not a machine but it's decent with a burner and it's not burnt (it needs a little attention and watching a video).

Very good product. The only thing I would change, if I were to buy it again, would be to get the larger size.
The secret to making good coffee with rich foam is to have a flame. It doesn't work well on an electric stove. The flame creates more pressure, resulting in better foam.

Good evening, the moka pot has 3-4 "secrets", you apply them and you have a great result.

Medium to low heat...
Warm water in the tank, or warm up the water and then put the coffee basket in, hold it with a towel, squeeze it and wait...
And thirdly, when the coffee reaches the edge of the pot, it will start bubbling from where the coffee comes out, we pour our coffee and put it under the tap to stop boiling and prevent burnt coffee from splashing on us. There are many videos on YouTube that show everything in detail.As for some friends who complain about the valve, apart from the visual aspect, the crema does not contribute anything to the final result. So even if you get a simple moka pot without a valve, you will save 30 euros and you won't see any difference other than the visual result!

When you use it, there is no going back to a regular coffee maker.. It consistently makes better coffee, without the need for tricks like icing to stop the steam and burnt coffee, and bonus points for the frother...

Freshly ground coffee, a scale, and YouTube videos are prerequisites for a good-tasting and creamy coffee. I am very satisfied with the Brikka, although I am tired of constantly and meticulously cleaning its parts. The coffee it produces is a hybrid of French press and espresso and is quite dense, so the best results come from blends with medium or light roasting. Also, blends with at least 20% robusta almost always give more creaminess. Therefore, I would recommend the Brikka to someone who doesn't make many coffees daily and who can compromise with its aforementioned peculiarities.

I have had it for a month, I make at least 2 cups of coffee a day and I am constantly experimenting. The Brikka is something between a moka pot and an espresso machine. It produces coffee and crema similar to espresso, but of course both are weaker.
+ Portable
+ Produces crema (compared to traditional moka pots)
+ Enhances the flavor of the coffee very well, even though it doesn't make espresso
+ Quite cheap and affordable. If you want good coffee, you either have to spend a lot more money or get a moka pot. Stay away from very cheap espresso machines. I have tried machines that cost 50-60€ and the performance in terms of quality/price ratio is worse than the Brikka.- Cleaning it is a big hassle
- Crema is very inconsistent. I have achieved decent crema several times that personally satisfies me (we are talking about a moka pot, our expectations should not be too high). Unfortunately, my experiments have shown that you have to be precise in everything (water, quantity and placement of coffee, intensity of heat) to have decent crema. The price is not high at all, on the contrary, if you think that for 3 years I have been making coffee by myself at the office and it's even better than what I would drink at a café.
My wife put it in the dishwasher... big mistake, it got ruined on the outside... however, it had no issues other than appearance.
The quality is top-notch, even today, 3 years later, with daily use, it hasn't deteriorated, not even the rubber or anything... it functions like the first day.
I bought a coffee machine for 200 euros at home, big mistake, I should have bought another one like this.
With this one, I have more control over the intensity of the coffee, it doesn't need descaling, it has a significantly smaller size, it's easier to clean, and it doesn't clog.
I declare myself a coffee lover, I'm one of those who experiment and say all the above without fear and passion.

To make a good Greek coffee, several factors need to be achieved:
1. The coffee blend should be 70% robusta.
2. The coffee should be ground neither too fine nor too coarse (it is better to grind the coffee beans on the spot, coffee grinders cost 20 euros).
3. Water (preferably lukewarm/cold, bottled/filtered) should be added as needed: up to the H2O line, maybe slightly less.
4. Use a gas stove, preferably with medium heat (the flame should barely touch the bottom of the pot).
5. Do not press the coffee grounds in the briki, it should be gently and frothily poured.
6. Remove from the heat immediately after it "bursts". You will hear it.
7. Never use soap for cleaning.

Also, although its construction is flawless, I don't think it's worth its money. As an Italian friend told me, "it's a clever idea by Bialetti for the foam, but it didn't work out for them. On one hand, the foam is not worth it, and on the other hand, after some time, it accumulates in the valve and may alter the taste of the coffee. With 3-10 euros, I can bring you a similar coffee maker from Italy without the problems." I don't really understand (nor do I embrace) those with the scales that the above friend mentioned, or those from the coffee shop, simply because, for many years that I lived in Italy (but also all my friends and acquaintances, Italians or not), we bought coffee from supermarkets. It never bothered us. The only consumable in such utensils is the sealing gasket, which dries out over time and needs replacement (with good maintenance, however, it will last for many years of use).
In any case, a bit overpriced for its value, but without compromising the quality of the produced coffee. Before this one, I had and still have the 4-cup model, I think it's called Dama (from the decade and something, with the old handle and the glass on top). Equally good and cheaper, and with the right tricks, it produces excellent coffee with crema.
Of course, the Brikka works perfectly on a ceramic stove. I mention this because no one has mentioned it (all stoves in the neighboring country are gas). Some say no, but on the one hand, the instruction booklet does not prohibit it, and on the other hand, it has already been tested.

I highly recommend it. Very good single espresso (double dose of coffee with 1 cup of water and red Lavazza coffee).
