Having previously purchased an older model of this black and decker series, I did not hesitate for a moment to make the same purchase again (of course, the newer version of this product). Having used many different vacuum cleaners in the past, I can say that its power and lifespan justify the increased cost.

Yes, the battery may not be replaceable, but its lifespan exceeds that of other vacuum cleaners that break down in 1-2 years, not due to the battery but due to the motor.

It also has a special filter that retains the dust, unlike cheaper vacuum cleaners that simply "spit out" the dust from various outlets as they cannot contain it.

It has three small negatives. It is noisy, but that comes with the power. After all, you don't want it for its "melody"! The second negative is that I consider it a bit heavy. I can handle it fine, but a woman's or child's hand might get tired with prolonged use. And finally, the base of it doesn't inspire confidence as it feels a bit fake compared to the rest of the product. Since it stands upright on it, I'm afraid I might accidentally knock it over at any moment and it will break.

I recommend it without a second thought. I don't think there is a better vacuum cleaner available at the moment

  Huge attention to whoever buys it! The battery, after 2 years of very mild household use, went off. Replacing the battery costs exactly as much as buying a new vacuum cleaner. There are no aftermarket batteries on the market, so you are forced to go to the dealership for 60-65€..

  In two things I want your attention. 1) Do not charge it if the battery is not empty. Or unplug it from the socket or do not touch it on the base. This way the battery will last three times longer. 2) ALWAYS wear a mask when opening it for cleaning. What comes out is not said. I was shocked for 2 months from what I accidentally inhaled a little air. GREAT ATTENTION.   The first time I bought the same product many years ago, apart from its power and effectiveness, the battery lasted for many years and we were thrilled! We bought the same product again, but unfortunately the battery was faulty the second time. After 1-1.5 years, the battery deteriorated significantly and now it only lasts a few seconds!   After 2 years of use, not on a daily basis, I am very satisfied with my purchase! It is still powerful and has good battery life! There are also pets in the space, so you can understand that it sucks up hair down to the bone! Of course, I should mention that I almost never forget to leave the device plugged in (meaning it is constantly charging) and that after each use (once a month), I clean all the internals and the HEPA filter by taking it to a gas station for a blowout!   After two vacuum cleaners that I have purchased in the last 5 years, I can say that this is a sturdy and powerful vacuum cleaner with one major drawback. Its battery dies in 2.5 to 3 years. I would not recommend it. Repairing it is not worth it as the cost is close to buying a new one.

  We've had it for 5 years. I think it's the best purchase in its category. It has been working overtime in the past year since our little one eats and spills everything. I have it permanently plugged in since day one and I have also bought 3 more filters so that I don't have to constantly clean it. Just swap one out and it works immediately. Its battery still lasts, although as others have mentioned, it's meant for spot cleaning and not for cleaning the entire house. If it breaks, I will definitely buy it again.

  I have had it for 5 years now. The battery still holds strong, after all you don't use it for more than 5-10 minutes, then it's better to use a large vacuum cleaner. The motor sucks like there's no tomorrow, it's very powerful, nothing like other small vacuums. It has sucked up unbelievable amounts of dirt, dust, hair, food, you name it.

  It needs regular cleaning. Detach the container and you can easily clean it without worrying about moisture getting into the motor. It collects a lot of dust, I clean it with a brush, wash it well, and let it dry for 1-2 days before reattaching it. For cleaning the car or if you have kids, etc., it does an impeccable job, it will save you.

  The joy lasts exactly 2 years. In those two years, the batteries last ... 15 - 30 seconds of use because their protection circuit cuts off when they weaken a bit. Yes, it is powerful. Very powerful. But when the batteries die, after 2 years, it's time to throw it away. I have had the vacuum cleaner for 4 years. In the first 2 years, I replaced the batteries myself, but it requires technical knowledge as the 5 "18650" batteries require special handling (soldering with a soldering iron) and the cost of purchasing 5 good batteries reaches €50... Now, after another 2 years have passed, I am looking for another solution since the batteries have failed again... So yes, the joy only lasts for two years.

  The first one I bought many years ago, I returned it because the noise was too loud. I got the same one in 10.8V, it was good but not as powerful as the 18V. When it broke down, I bought the 18V which has been working endlessly for years. You should know that you can find the hepa filter at a very low price abroad, and that is important. Change the filter once every 4 months or so. In the meantime, when you clean the vacuum, use an old toothbrush to thoroughly clean the hepa filter. This way, you will always have maximum suction power.

  Recently, I wanted one for the caravan and of course, I bought the same one since I have many spare filters. Also, cheap handheld vacuums do not have a proper filter, and the dust they suck in comes out from the other end!

  It does make noise, no doubt about it, but its usage is so limited in time that it won't bother anyone. As for the questions (if it picks up pet hair well), they do not apply to handheld vacuums. I didn't know I would be picking up dog hair and breadcrumbs from where I cut bread! Ridiculous!
