Description

Rewrite history in this alternate version of Victorian London, where advanced technology weapons are the only hope against a powerful and ancient enemy.

The only ones who can protect humanity

It is the dawn of a new era - an era of scientific discoveries that seem like miracles. Under the dense London fog, in the shadow of the Industrial Revolution, old and new enemies threaten to sow chaos in the city, but also across the entire world. The only ones who can face these deadly threats are the unique protectors of humanity, an elite order of Knights known as The Order. Take part in a centuries-old war against a powerful threat that will forever change human history as we know it.

Where myth meets reality

This is not the London we know. The Order: 1886 combines real historical figures and events with new variations of well-known myths and legends, creating an alternative history.

Cinematic Style

Travel to an amazingly realistic, yet different, Neo-Victorian London with effects that replicate the cameras and lenses of real film productions and experience a vivid and convincing visual journey.

A masterpiece in terms of graphics, sound, and storyline. Impressive attention to detail in character appearances and environment. Short in duration but a seriously interesting title, with a mysterious action-packed plot and nice weapons.

The Order 1886 is a third-person shooter with stunning graphics and a captivating story. The feeling it leaves you with is that you are watching a movie rather than playing a game. On the downside, it is relatively short in duration (no multiplayer or co-op), but this does not negate the overall picture of the game. Additionally, I felt that it became unfairly difficult at 2-3 points. At its current price (November 2022) of 20 euros, it is a good purchase.

The game is generally very nice. Very good graphics, very beautiful story. It could be a little longer in duration. However, it is not too short. Plenty of shooting but also a bit of stealth. As for the cinematics that you can't avoid, well, watch a damn story so you can at least understand why people are being killed. The other person wrote that it's 70-30 cinematics. Come on, buddy, didn't you watch a movie at the end? Flawless and enjoyable. Especially at this price, it's top-notch.

  • The game was very nice but very limited... It touched on topics that needed more development but skipped over them. Graphics and cutscenes were amazing. I would give it 5 stars but I'm giving it 4 because the ending was not satisfying at all.

Nice story, enough "gunplay". In terms of duration, I believe it is just right, about 10 hours, easy platinum for those who are interested

Nice game with perfect graphics for the time it was released, even now the graphics still hold up well. I liked the story, I didn't find it boring. The gameplay is good, I enjoyed the shooting. The duration of the game for me was not too short, it was satisfying. If it was longer, it would have been tiring for this game. And God of War 1, 2, 3 and Resident Evil 7 have the same duration, but no one complained, only for The Order they say that it has a short duration and it's not worth the money! The game is worth its money, it's not a masterpiece that will stay in your mind for a long time and will be remembered, but it's a good and enjoyable game that will pass your time pleasantly! Rating 8/10

There is nothing to say that hasn't been said.
    Great immersive game.
Strong graphics and story, good shooting.

    However,

A lot of wasted time with cinematics or when the character doesn't run... (seriously? It takes 2 minutes to cross a building without an enemy)
    Quite short in duration.
    Werewolves? Where? Tragic AI.

At €8 that I got it from the ps store, it's okay. But for full price or even €20 on Black Friday 2020, no. I regret not having it retail, but except for its graphics, it's unfortunately not worth that much money.

And after tlou2 we fell into the hardest....... it doesn't even have a skip button!!!! Someone wrote 60/40, not even as a joke, 70 cinematics and 30 game.... and I'm being generous!! Okay, the story is good, the graphics are good, but come on, not only is it short, but with so many cinematics, it's better to watch Coppola's Dracula than to play this. I waited so many years for the price to drop and it still hasn't, 33 euros with shipping?!?! Luckily a few days ago, because of Halloween, the ps had it for 9.99.... now that's a reasonable price for this game.

  • Honest game. It has plenty of cinematics and it is quite small. It lasts up to eight hours. The story and its development are quite interesting, with good battles. I would recommend it for a purchase of up to 10€, and it definitely has a very easy platinum trophy for anyone interested.

Interesting story and good graphics but... when I buy a game, I want to play and not watch videos that I can't even skip!! If the game lasted at least 8 hours, at the 5th hour you're just watching a movie... unacceptable! In one of the chapters, all you had to do was slide for 20 meters, move a beam, and... nothing else. Of course, afterwards, you had to watch another 5-minute movie to start the game again. Imagine, I'm writing this while "playing"... haha Of course, for the 12 euros I paid, it's ok

A few words from me. At this price, it's fine. You don't have freedom of movement, it just takes you automatically from scene to scene. The game is slow at times. Also, in each scene, you have a specific choice to make in order to progress. It's like old PS3 games. The graphics are good, as well as the atmosphere.

Well, the game is from 2014, specifically for the PS4.
Its graphics are fantastic, as well as its sound.
Fantastic atmosphere, it serves you the darkness of the era on a plate and successfully immerses you in the mood.
Its gameplay is good, good shooting depending on the weapon you have, it gives you the appropriate heavy-light feeling.
Many people talk about the long cinematics, personally I enjoy that in games, so I enjoyed it here as well.
Two downsides I found are the duration, around 8 hours approximately, and I felt that the camera was too close to the player than it should be. I would have liked the camera to be a bit further away. Other than that, the game is great.
Galahad is a nice character and not indifferent, I would like to see him in a sequel on the PS5.
I should mention that I got the game for ten euros from a colleague who didn't like it and quickly gave up on it, so for the price of two coffees, it's a must-buy.

Very good atmosphere and excellent gunplay, I liked it even though it was short, personally I finished it in about 7 hours. It's not difficult, maybe there's a bit of pressure towards the end. The battle with enemies reminds me of Uncharted and it felt very familiar to me. I didn't like the ending, it needed another hour, but I heard that there will be a sequel on the PS5, so if that happens, it will definitely clarify many things that were left hanging in the first one.
I definitely recommend it to fans of Uncharted because of the combat, and to those who don't mind the duration and just want to see the story of another game. I don't recommend it to those who are looking for a game that will keep them engaged for more than a month.

It was buried very quickly without me understanding the reason. I had bought it with a collector's edition that was relatively close to its release (about a year later).
The game has a very nice atmosphere and very nice music. It has many cutscenes which was a problem for many people. It didn't tire me at all. Quite the opposite.
In terms of duration, it could have been a little longer and if you think about it, along with the ending it had (which is the only part that didn't impress me in terms of the story), it felt like they rushed to release it (let's not forget that at that time the ps4 didn't have exclusives).
The graphics (especially for when it was released) are very good

This particular game is misunderstood from all perspectives, in terms of graphics, story, etc. In my opinion, it is an interesting game with a very nice story. Also, in terms of gameplay, I had some issues at the beginning until I got used to the character's controls, but once you get used to it, you enjoy it because it has a lot of action. In conclusion, it is worth it for a gamer to play it.

The game features an excellent soundtrack, a fantastic story in my opinion, and an interesting and enjoyable gameplay. On the other hand, it requires a relatively short amount of time to complete the game (it took me a weekend) and if someone wants to spend a large amount of money on something that will last for a long time, they definitely should not choose this game. However, if someone prefers this type of games and relies on the story and single player mode, it should definitely be in their collection as long as its price does not exceed €20

  • Very good game, it shows you what the PS4 can do with such graphics, atmosphere, and overall gameplay that you don't see everywhere. However, the game's duration is too short, it has an amazing story but it provides a lot of cinematic and the game lasts about 8 hours and it doesn't have multiplayer. If you want a game to be played frequently, I don't recommend it, but if you're looking for a game to kill some time, it's very good

Definitely, it's 60% cinematics and 40% gameplay, but you will play this game for the story, which is very good, for the fantastic atmosphere, and overall it pulls you in. It's relatively short in duration, which is why it gets 4 stars, but if you're looking for a good story and amazing atmosphere, then this is the game you should play

A game like no other, and it was destroyed because the average prefers an open world to play in and not a linear experience, the game, although small, you will love it to the fullest. The story is very well tied together in a Victorian background, we would say, werewolves and vampires against humans, and a cinematic experience in your living room.

The game has beautiful graphics and very good sound. It is quite atmospheric. Its story is very interesting and clever with some plot twists. But the gameplay is completely uninteresting. When you play (and don't watch cinematics), it is monotonous. You simply press the buttons it indicates to you. You only get to shoot some guys... If you sit down and engage with it intensively, you finish it very quickly.

    Really an underrated game...
Maybe the price when it was released was high due to the duration of the story, but it's not the first or the last game that is so short...

I loved it, you will definitely like it if you're into lycans, vampires, and the like.
Its graphics are impressive! (Even on the PS4 Pro, which hasn't received a 4K patch yet)
Its gameplay is solid without glitches, bugs, and its short duration keeps it from getting boring.
Also, if you're looking for a cinematic experience in a game, it's worth it, as the atmosphere of the game takes you to a Sherlock Holmes era in classic London.

I give it 4 stars because once you finish it, there's nothing else to do like multiplayer or some challenge, but otherwise, at the current price of €20, it's not worth missing out on!

First of all, I have to say that the game rightfully garnered so much hate when it still cost 50€. I personally didn't spend more than 7 hours to finish it. HOWEVER, I would easily pay the 20€ it costs now for it. The concept of werewolves in Victorian London is quite interesting, the characters are well-developed, and the overall story is original and easily captures your interest. But what sets the game apart is its graphics. It is so beautiful that you would stop at random points just to admire it. In terms of gameplay, I would have liked more gunplay and fewer quick time events. The stealth stages were surprisingly good.

I believe it rightfully stands alongside huge exclusive titles, as it has earned its place solely from its story and graphics. The atmosphere, combined with the music, left the world stunned, with many small details stealing the show. The progression of the plot is exceptional and very original. The game is not open world, which means it guides you through the plot, as stated even on the packaging. Overall, the game, although it lacks multiplayer, which personally seems normal to me, takes you on a journey to 19th century London. Congratulations to Ready At Dawn, great job. It is definitely worth the money.
