Although subjective, it is the only shoe that suited me so well without any extra orthopedic insole.
A great advantage that should be obvious: enough space (although it could be a little bigger) in the toe area so that they do not press against each other. I don't know why, maybe just for "fashion" reasons (;), most shoes are quite narrow and "pointy" in the front, and this creates problems for the feet (it does not allow for the natural opening of the toes and restricts the function of the muscles that help shape the arch of the foot).
For now, I have only used it as an everyday shoe.
I recently bought it and I don't have an opinion yet on its durability. However, it seems to be of good quality.
Good, comfortable, and warm, but when they got dirty with mud and I went to the faucet and rinsed them with water using a hose carefully all around, water got inside. They are not completely waterproof
This shoe is a decent shoe for forest hikes and everyday use.
In no case does it handle steep slopes and high altitudes.
The reason is that the sole and the teeth of the shoe are quite soft and will not withstand demanding climbs on steep slopes, gravel, and generally rough terrain.
It is definitely worth buying due to its good price, but it has limited capabilities.
In the first 2 months and after many kilometers of hiking in muddy and snowy mountains, I believe it is a very good choice for someone who wants a more stylish boot to wear on a daily basis. Very comfortable and lightweight, at least on my foot, which truthfully I only wear athletic shoes.
They were tested with the first snow in Parnassus, totaling 17 km of hiking.
First impressions are positive, it is a lightweight boot, waterproof, and with good breathability.
The sole is very decent and stable, you don't lose control at any point.
It will also be tested on different terrains and their durability will be reevaluated
Gone are the years when what you paid for had the corresponding quality.
Nowadays, you never know what you'll get.
It seems like a sturdy good shoe.
The front, around the toes, is made of stitched leather. This is a plus.
I have had Salomon shoes for 11 years, for skiing and everyday use.
If these last five years, I will be satisfied.
Once I try it for hiking, I will write another review.
Just received it a week before a big hike and the lace holder broke during a tight grip. Otherwise, it is lightweight and waterproof!
