I would just like to inform my friend who had a problem with these shoes that Salomon offers a 2-year warranty for them. (with a small reservation because I bought the same model in 2016).
After contacting Salomon in France, they informed me that the supplier should either replace them or compensate me. As you can imagine, the representative I spoke to acted ignorant until I sent him the emails from Salomon. Finally (to keep it short), they refunded my money after a long time, of course. Although I don't think Salomon's warranty policy has changed, I still have some reservations. I am writing all this information just for the friend who experienced the damage, so that he can get his money back. The company is reliable, it's just that the Greek suppliers are clowns and don't provide information.
The major problem with the shoe that makes it useless if it happens to you is that the first 3 lace holes do not have plastic reinforcement like all the others, and the lace gets cut and the shoe becomes useless. I bought them for €137 from €153 on 10/23 and they broke. I have photos as well. I always buy Salomon shoes, but now I am disappointed for the first time. I took them to the local cobbler to see if I can do something because if I talked to Salomon directly, I would argue. I wear them for 10-12 hours of work due to my profession as a delivery driver. They also have a hard sole at the heel, but that can be dealt with after a month of use. The bad thing is that I bought 2 pairs, one black for work and one white-blue for everyday wear. Also, maybe I should have talked to the store where I bought them before taking them to the cobbler, maybe they would exchange them for something of equal value and brand, just with a different type of lace (not the one that is like wire)
