One of Nesbo's best. Tremendous plot keeps you on edge until the end, twisty and clever

It is the book that established Jo Nesbo as the best Scandinavian author of crime novels. The movie is not worth it, so even if someone watched the movie, it is good to read the book because it is simply fantastic.

Perhaps the book that launched Jo Nesbo and detective Harry Hole. If you watched the movie and were disappointed, don't turn your back on this book. It is the epitome of a crime thriller and definitely one of the author's best, if not the best. It is definitely worth more than one read.

It is speculated as the best book by Nesbo. I started with this one and it was truly a delight. Both the characters and the locations described by the author in the book were fantastic. The plot was exceptional, with a nice twist at the end. I remember reading the last 150 pages in one go. I am looking forward to reading the rest. If you don't want to spoil the plot of the first book (The Bat), don't start with this one or don't read the first one, which is probably somewhat mediocre.
