It is the first formula milk we tried as a supplement to breastfeeding, starting from the maternity hospital. We continued using it at home until the baby was 2 months old. We noticed that it flowed slowly or not at all, especially in the beginning when the baby was just a few days old, and he would take a lot of gulps. Then, after 40 days, it caused constipation issues for us, resulting in the baby having difficulty passing stools and only doing so every 5 days, and sometimes even longer. We even tried Frisolac Comfort for the constipation, both combined with regular Frisolac and on its own, and it initially helped the baby pass stools on his own, but he would pass whole pieces and experience a lot of pain and crying. We also tried Almiron 1, but it didn't help with the bowel movements either. Only when we combined it with Chamomile, as suggested by the pediatrician, did the baby pass stools every 3 days. In the end, we ended up with Novalac IT, and it helped us a lot! The baby now has bowel movements every 2 days without any pain
It dissolves in 2 minutes, which is a big deal for me.
It did not cause constipation.
It has a pleasant scent, not like other things that smell fishy.
The only downside I find, which might be related to the issue of digestion, is that it seems to be easily digestible (that's why it dissolves quickly) and it doesn't satisfy the baby's hunger.
The low price is obviously a plus! Anyway, I will continue using it and I recommend it. It seems to be of good quality.
We started with Aptamil 1 from birth, a week later the baby started having intense diarrhea and fussiness plus the fact that this milk makes too much foam. A friend of mine advised me to try frisolac 1, whatever I say is little, it flows easily and quickly, he drinks it pleasantly, sleeps without fussiness and most importantly the diarrhea stopped within 24 hours. I highly recommend it. For me 5 stars is not enough.
I had never bought it before, I chose it randomly in the 4th month in combination with breastfeeding, the baby drinks it with joy, it does not cause constipation, etc... and it has relatively mild reflux, not as intense as in other babies who drink other brands!!
It worked really well for our little one!
The clinic had it, the pediatrician recommended it, it worked well mixed with breastfeeding and now exclusively!
We gave our child the entire range of Frisolac, Frisomel, Frisogrow. We had no problems, he drank and satisfied normally. I believe that the baby's role and how it will settle in his stomach from the beginning play a role.
The little one did not tolerate it at all, she had colic and difficulty with bowel movements. We continued with Novolac, which they had given from the beginning at the hospital, and such a problem never occurred again. It depends on how it will suit each baby. Unfortunately, it did not suit us.
From the day it was born until today, when the baby is almost 5 months old, it is exclusively fed with this milk. I wouldn't say that we encountered any particular problems regarding its consumption.
We had some issues with the bottles, but no other milk helped us, the pains it had were from colic, and as for the bowel movements, if not every day, the baby has them regularly.
The baby is satisfied and gaining weight normally!
Started using this from the clinic at birth. At first it was great: baby drank it with no problem, regular bowl movements, gaining weight, etc. After 6 weeks/ 1.5 months everything changed! Baby started having a lot of gas, farting and burping but only pooing after 3 days; stomach was bloated, stomach spasms, moving her arms and legs frantically in her sleep, extremely loud crying nothing could calm her! Changed milk and she's back to normal thank God!
While with the other 2 children we exclusively used this milk, it did not help at all with our third child. He had continuous regurgitation, had difficulty digesting, and it also caused constipation, so we changed it. Of course, I must say that the milk is not to blame. Whether a milk will sit well with us depends solely on the baby and their tummy.
The worst milk. Since we gave it to the child, he has been crying the whole time, it doesn't agree with him, he constantly has gas. Stay away, kids. Don't torture your children with this nonsense. Who knows what's inside and the baby was crying endlessly.
In our first child, we didn't encounter any problem. In the second one, although we were consuming it since birth, we eventually changed it in the 4th month because it caused reflux. It didn't flow almost at all and immediately caused vomiting.
We have no issue with this milk from birth (mixed feeding with breastfeeding) until today, at 3.5 months. It is also convenient that you can find it in all supermarkets.
Update: minus 1 star because I noticed it contains palm oil. I switched milk.
Our baby used to drink it until he had gastroesophageal reflux and we switched to comfort... it is tasty (yes, I tried it out of curiosity), it smells pleasant compared to other formula milks... It mixes easily!
We gave it as a supplement in the maternity ward and continued using it for a short period at home. During the colic period, it made the situation more difficult, so we switched to exclusive breastfeeding.
We were recommended it by the maternity hospital and we have been giving it from the 3rd day in combination with breastfeeding.
Everything was fine until we increased the quantity to 90ml per month.
The baby started having hiccups and strong colic. Every night we have tantrums, either because he is hungry or in pain. For the colic, we have tried drops that only helped in the first few days.
In communication with the pediatrician, he did not suggest a change as the issue is only the hiccups since colic is a matter of patience and will eventually pass.
We continue like this and we'll see.
At least the baby sleeps well and is satisfied, and his bowel movements are daily and creamy.
*Update*
As soon as we reached the 2nd month, the hiccups and colic decreased significantly.
His bowel movements continue to be daily and creamy (3-4 diapers/day).
*Update 2*
We are in the third month and we continue in combination with breastfeeding.
The issues of the previous months have disappeared. Since my baby drinks it eagerly, I am satisfied. +1 star
I have raised two children with this milk and I wouldn't change it.....it promotes normal bowel movements and satisfies the child. Additionally, they drink it pleasantly!
Indeed, because my daughters had severe reflux and I gave them both the classic Frisolac along with Frisolac AR, I truly relaxed from spitting up and reflux.
It was the milk they gave us from the maternity ward. Initially, everything was okay, but when we increased the quantity as the baby grew, they had many gulps and had difficulty digesting. So, they couldn't sleep... Also, constipation started
I don't have a personal opinion, when my children grow up they will tell us. But I see that compared to others, they prefer it more. They will probably find it more enjoyable
According to our little one, Frisolac is one of the best milks!! It smells wonderful, it is easily digestible, and the bowel movements are normal!!! We absolutely love this milk!!!
From the beginning, we have been using this until recently when we changed because it causes a lot of burping for a long time. And that is the only negative thing for our case. Otherwise, the baby eats it happily and I have never had any problems.
We are in the 4th month, the baby drinks it very pleasantly now (for the first two months we mixed it with frisolac AC). The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is because for the first 2.5 months we had to mix it, but once we passed the 3-month mark of colic, we don't change it
My (twins) had a lot of gas and intense colic from the beginning, but we started using this product from the maternity ward and they have been drinking it until today, at 5.5 months... Once we passed the 3-month mark, everything improved! You can find it in supermarkets too... It's a serious convenience if there is a delivery delay!
Unfortunately, this specific product disappoints us. We mix it with Frisolac Comfort so that our baby can benefit from it. However, it causes a lot of burping for our little one. I imagine that our baby is sensitive and the milk is not to blame.
I took it as a breastfeeding supplement to gain weight, but unfortunately it felt heavy in my stomach, resulting in almost constant indigestion with every meal.
