I worked with it at 6400 (it became 36-105), it is very lightweight with internal metal rings and not rubber, meaning it is of perfect quality construction and completely silent. Ideal for gimbals due to its weight. If you don't need the 2.8, it is the best lens. I read somewhere that Zeiss will stop producing lenses, which would be a shame, on one hand, but on the other hand, the lens will gain collector's value!! The 24-105 is also good, but if you don't need the extra zoom, then there is no reason.

A lens with very good sharpness, ideal for the A7. Amazing build quality, a sturdy zoom ring, the focus ring has no beginning or end, satisfactory stabilizer.
