In its entire history, our country seems to be intertwined with the idea of Democracy. Greeks either fought for Democracy or lived with it, enjoying its goods and freedoms. Today, however, Greece has turned its back on history, and Greeks neither live in a Democracy nor fight for it. The modern political reality, the Constitution, and political science reveal a great truth: Greece's regime is not Democratic.

The present book was written after scientific research and study of contemporary and progressive constitutional and state proposals from around the world. Among its contents is a fearless critical analysis of the current Constitution, the search for the last word of Democracy at an ideological and practical level, the modern rights and freedoms of Citizens, while also providing an answer to the question "what would change if we had Democracy?".

The heart of the book is the comprehensive Constitutional proposal for a new, unique, Greek, and finally Democratic regime for Greece. The proposal is a guide, a counter-proposal to the existing political situation, a platform for change and dialogue for the transition to Democracy, a new Greek Constitution that redefines Democracy and returns power to the citizens, who take on a leading role in every expression of political life. The dynamism of the modern citizen is undoubtedly unlimited and in Democracy can be transformed into a force of creation and progress for all of humanity.
