It's not that powerful. It toasts the bread nicely, but it needs to be flipped because the bottom plates cook more strongly. Otherwise, it will burn on the bottom and be okay on top.
I bought it because it also has plates for waffles. However, it doesn't have enough intensity to properly cook waffles.
For toast, it's okay.
It's useful though that the plates are interchangeable and you can also cook sandwiches and pitas.
