  The first book by Mary Harpantidou and we are already eagerly awaiting the second. A book that you can easily read in a few days because it keeps you in suspense and you want to keep going and see what happens. Personally, I delayed reading it as much as I could to keep me company during my summer vacation. Okay, I'm rambling again.

  So, it is an easy-to-read book with a nice flow, suspense, like a good crime thriller that could easily be turned into a movie. Basically, that's it! Reading it, I felt like I was watching a movie. The characters, young and old, connect with each other. It shows different sides of their character, not only in their work but also in their personal moments and concerns. For example, the dilemma of Iliadis between work and family. The murderer is relatively easy to find out, but I imagine the author's intention is not for us to not discover him or to not think about who he is, but rather why he does what he does. I think that is her purpose, what is hidden behind the crimes. Also, we see that the author refers to various issues concerning our society and how the world deals with social issues and stereotypes. This is where it connects with what I said earlier about Iliadis and the dilemmas he has between work and family. I would like to congratulate Mary on her first crime novel and we look forward to the second one soon!
