They were purchased solely for summer and warm weather. The difference between the S1P and S3 is only that the former is not waterproof and the latter retains heat more, otherwise they have the same safety standards, so personally for me they were ideal for the specific period I need them for work. For work shoes, they are not heavy. The negatives are that they have a very thin tongue, as if it is a piece of fabric, and that they require a change of insoles, especially if you have an issue.
