I bought this mouse during Black Friday at a discount. For 14 years, I used the Logitech MX 1100, but after so long, it was logical for it to abandon me (partially).

The Gembird wrx900 is lighter than the MX1100 and has smooth movement on a fabric mouse pad. Personally, I prefer it to be heavier, but that is a matter of personal preference.

It has a rechargeable battery, which personally doesn't impress me because it doesn't last as long as the MX1100's regular batteries (3 months with regular alkaline batteries from the pack). Specifically, for someone who wants to feel like a kid and wants to light up all the lights on the Gembird, the battery will last them up to 2 days (mixed use for office work and online action games that require a lot of movement and clicks). If you turn off the lights and related nonsense, then the battery will last about 5 days (same use as before). The downside is that it doesn't have a clear indication of how much energy is left in the battery. There is a light on the palm area with the Gembird symbol that constantly flashes while the device is in use, and when it is in its last minutes, it turns red, but that's about it. Since there is no software for the mouse, you can't know how long it will last with the remaining battery while it flashes red. And since the palm covers the said light, don't be surprised if it leaves you without noticing.

The worst part is that the lithium battery is not accessible and cannot be replaced, so when it eventually runs out of power, you will have to buy a new mouse.

The packaging comes with a charging cable that is about 20 centimeters long, so if you expect to charge it and play at the same time, forget it. It is possible, but you need a longer cable. Also, there is no plug/adapter for the socket. The device has an output to connect the cable with USB C, so it charges relatively quickly (about 2 hours).

The buttons cannot be programmed since there is no software like the Logitech had.

The scroll wheel moves smoothly. I note that there are 2 scroll wheels: a classic one for scrolling up and down in texts (zoom in games) and a second one on the thumb for scrolling left and right in texts that hasn't been properly wrapped and goes off the page or if you're working in Excel.

The response to movements is, in my opinion, quite good at all the DPI settings I tried.

Note: the USB antenna (dongle) is located in a small drawer-like compartment under the mouse.
