The 2nd purchase from Ezviz. I have been using the BC1C for 1 year. I bought the EB3 for use with a panel. The panel has very satisfactory performance and it is USB-C, prefer it to avoid charging worries. I tested it with summer sun and it gives 15% daily. It doesn't need more power saving mode, meaning when motion is activated, power consumption is minimal.
Comparing EB3 and BC1C, go for the 2nd one. Advantages of BC1C:
- Much larger battery, I charge it every 2 months in power saving mode.
- EB3 only has screw support, BC1C has additional magnetic support.
- Much better image quality and performance in night mode.
- Better Wi-Fi signal. EB3 has frequent interruptions, which is the main reason for the 3/5 rating.
- Better performance in motion notifications.
Comparative disadvantages:
- The price difference is 30-40€.
- BC1C does not have memory expansion. EB3 takes extra MicroSD.
General disadvantage of Ezviz. You cannot connect them to your own recording system. It has a subscription-based cloud.
It is essentially an Ezviz CS-BC1C with a smaller battery, no built-in memory card, and slightly worse image quality (minor differences). With the panel, you forget about it altogether. Like all EZVIZ cameras, it only supports 2.4GHz. Very good!
