VFM coffee maker...!!! The build quality is average with a lot of plastic parts, but after 1 year of use, nothing has happened to it. It makes a nice crema depending on the variety chosen by each person. I choose the Exclusive from Chibo in ground packaged coffee from the supermarket. It has a very rich crema, and from all the coffees I have tried, it is exactly what I want in terms of taste and aroma from a supermarket coffee. I have also bought the Nespresso capsule attachment, but I prefer the classic brewing method with the portafilter. It is relatively quiet compared to other coffee makers in the same category. It is relatively light, and when you attach the portafilter to the machine, you have to hold it because it shifts. I used the steam wand for frothing milk for a little while, but I wasn't satisfied enough with the result, so I bought a separate milk frother. Also, the tamper is plastic along with the 2-in-1 doser, which is a downside for me. I looked for a metal tamper, but I can't find one due to the small diameter of the portafilter basket at 50mm. I do descaling every month, but I have never had an issue with the pressure.
Unfortunately, it made very good foam for a week. After that, nothing. I took it to service, supposedly they changed a resistor but it was the same. No foam at all and the coffee was "watered down." A failed purchase for me.
Excellent machine, everything very nice but very plasticky! Of course with 80€ what do you expect but very plasticky! It is so light that it has suction cups underneath so the wind doesn't take it! Just to be clear, for its price it is top!
Owner of the machine for almost 3 months now coming from a nespresso machine.
Positives:
1) Good coffee.
2) Easy to use (options: On/Off, coffee, steam function).
3) Compared to other more expensive (up to 150€) options, it is a very good value for money alternative.
Negatives:
1) The extraction function does not stop when the water tank is empty.
2) It does not have enough pressure even though it is 20bar to "dry" the coffee in the group, resulting in the coffee leaving the top in a semi-liquid state (it does not affect the quality of the coffee, but it is annoying because it requires constant cleaning).
3) Due to the second observation, coffee beans float and stick to the coffee machine's filter, after 3-4 coffees if you don't wipe it with a cloth or towel, it will start to leave a burnt coffee taste.
4) Absence of a single coffee function.
Overall, it is a very good choice for everyone and definitely at a good price.
The two previous ones I had were compressors. Very quiet! Good coffee, concentrated and 20bar. It only has one (cup) for double coffee and you fill it accordingly.
It makes excellent coffee if you learn it well, compared to other more expensive ones or if you buy from abroad. It may be the most value-for-money machine on the market. The foam is perfect and if you find the variety you like, you will enjoy a nice coffee. It is easy to use
I had started with the Delonghi Dedica, but ended up with this one and I am very happy.
Easy coffee machine for those who don't want to spend a lifetime with instructional videos.
It has a pressurized portafilter, which makes a very satisfying crema. It does something that I consider very clever: after 3", it makes a small pause, so that the extraction reaches the right time. This way, it gives a nice coffee in 16-18" for a single shot and 20-22" for a double shot, with good grinding and tamping. I don't think it's worth messing with it to make it non-pressurized.
It forgives a lot in terms of grinding and tamping though, with a little experimentation you will find the right one.
Definitely easy and VFM (value for money)
I was looking for a different machine and since I couldn't find one, I ended up with this one. Although I was initially skeptical because it didn't impress me visually, it pleasantly surprised me! Incredible foam and very nice coffees in all 3 varieties I tried. It heats up quickly and has a quiet and smooth operation. I don't have an opinion on the milk frother because I didn't use it. In tests I did with the steam nozzle to warm up cups and water, it works perfectly. Good pressure on the coffee and you will have very good results. Pay attention to the water tank, make sure to attach it properly so it doesn't leak water and there's no need to remove and replace it, just fill it with as much water as you want with a glass.
Edit: Unfortunately, after 3 days of use and around 20 coffees, the machine started to decrease in quality and produce watery coffees, probably due to a pressure problem (pump). The machine was returned after communication with the store and service (and because I want to mention everything, the service didn't inconvenience me and immediately gave instructions for replacement at the store). I got a Dedica and we'll see.
It makes very good foam. It is easy to use and of high quality. I have had it for a month without any problems. Of course, it is still early, but I believe it will come out perfect
Quite good for home use as a person who has been working in a café for 15 years. It makes decent coffee with very good cream and the cup is 4 doses, meaning it can be filled twice (although it didn't come with a double one). Beyond that, the coffee you choose also plays a role.
I had another one for 8 years, which made good coffee for its price. As soon as I tried coffee from this machine, I changed my mind about the old one! It makes good foam, nice tasting coffee, and with a smaller amount of freshly ground coffee than I used to put in my old machine. It doesn't creak when it's working and it doesn't make much noise. It's worth it a thousand times. I hope it withstands the test of time.
I am not an espresso guru, but I am very satisfied with the result (I have had it for 2 days). It is great for home use.
Edit: After 35 days of purchase (without daily use), it broke down (the water was not heating up). The service told me that the product was not repairable, so I asked for a replacement from the store. And it was done immediately. Apart from the slight inconvenience of going back and forth, it's okay... It can happen, no harm done! I still believe it is value for money and I do not regret the purchase. I make my coffee just fine!
For its price, it is very good. It heats up quickly, is relatively quiet, makes good coffee, and has rich foam. Of course, choose a good blend to drink good coffee, as we shouldn't expect a machine to make good coffee if the blend is mediocre. That requires a lot of research, as most labels sold in supermarkets are subpar.
Personally, I am fully satisfied with its frother, whether I use animal milk or plant-based milk. It yields good results with both types.
Lastly, it has an elegant design and a relatively small size, making it ideal for small kitchens. As an additional advantage, the machine can also use capsules with the purchase of an extra accessory that is not very expensive.
