The first high-performance, highly customizable controller developed by Sony. Designed to give you an edge in gaming by allowing you to create custom controls, the wireless DualSense Edge controller invites you to create your own unique gaming experience tailored to your style.
The DualSense Edge controller features a range of customization options based on hardware and software to create a completely personalized controller experience.
Highly customizable controllers
You can make the wireless DualSense Edge controller exclusively yours by mapping or disabling specific button inputs and fine-tuning your aim by adjusting stick sensitivity and dead zones (the distance your analog stick moves before being recognized in a game). Additionally, each trigger is adjustable with options to customize the distance and dead zones according to your preferences. For example, you can manually reduce the trigger travel distance for faster inputs in competitive FPS games or decrease the dead zone for precise throttle control in racing games.
Ability to store multiple profiles
Once you find the ideal settings, you can save them in unique profiles and switch between them immediately. With the DualSense Edge wireless controller, you will always have your preferred controls ready for your games, whether you are facing Norse gods and monsters in God of War Ragnarök or rival players in an online battle royale.
User interface on the controller
The Fn button allows you to easily adjust your setup while staying focused on the in-game action, quickly switch between preset profiles, adjust game volume and chat balance, and access the profile settings menu to set up and test new control settings while in the game.
Interchangeable Caps and Back Buttons
Three types of interchangeable stick covers (standard, tall dome, and low dome) help you stay comfortable in the game while maintaining grip and stability. The two interchangeable sets of back buttons (half dome and lever) can be configured to be any other button input, putting more meaningful controls in your hands.
Integrated Features of DualSense Wireless Controller
The wireless DualSense Edge controller retains the signature comfort and immersive experience of the DualSense when playing supported games, such as haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, built-in microphone, motion controls, and more.

It's never worth the 230 euros! I've been playing Warzone for a year since I bought it, and it has started to have crazy stick drift, making it feel like a controller that's four years old or more... It's heavy, and the responsiveness of the other buttons (at least for this game) is extremely slow. Its battery performance has dropped a bit, but it's okay. I usually leave it charging in sleep mode overnight and unplug it in the morning, meaning I charge it when it shows one bar or shuts off, and it lasts for 3-4 hours of gameplay. Because it has all these extras, 100-120 euros would be a fair price, because I would rather spend an extra 50 euros to get a SCUF controller with back buttons than this. Also, if I have to change the sticks (the analogs, commonly) every year and want another 30 euros or however much they cost, we're done for... I don't particularly recommend it.
Ideal for gamers, very good build quality and generally something I would buy again. Quite pricey compared to what it offers, but if you like technology, it's worth it.
Very good solution for someone who plays FPS games and for anyone who doesn't want analog triggers R2-L2. Sturdy, a bit heavier than normal. In my hand, which is large glove size, it sits well. The battery without vibration etc lasts comfortably 4 hours.
One reason I bought this particular controller was the fact that SONY advertises that you can change the sticks in case of stick drift so you can keep playing and not spend €60 every time for a new controller.
Now that I have stick drift on the left stick, I go to search and there is nowhere to be found the replacement module! All the retailers have it "out of stock", in some, while the page appears on Google as a result, when you click it, it takes you to "404 not found", resulting in me having spent €200 for nothing. What am I supposed to do with the back buttons now that I have stick drift and no replacement? And we are 1 year after its release, so what will happen in 2-3 years from now??
Heavy and sturdy, and I thought you buy it once and for all!!!
After a year of daily use, the right rear button that you press with your middle finger has stopped working and doesn't make a sound.
What a shame for a paid lever of €250
By far the best, no comparison with regular controllers, no comparison with anything on the market, very smooth. Anyone who knows gaming knows that wired controllers are the way to go, especially for competitive games, so I don't even care that the battery only lasts 4 hours... I got it for Warzone and I have to say that with the right sensitivity settings, I started getting 17-25 kills in games too.
The controller is fine, I just think it could play at around 150-70 euros. However, it doesn't have drifting and the option to change analog is the best feature. It could also have more analog options for that price
Owner of the remote control because I wanted to try something more premium. The remote control comes with a carrying case and some spare parts. It also has various extra buttons to attach to the ports and program them to do what you want. It is more glossy on the black surfaces and has embossed Sony logos on the parts you hold, making it more rugged. The cross and square buttons do not look different, but the wheels sit better than the regular ones. The R1R2L1L2 buttons are a bit sturdier and more convenient, and the R2L2 buttons have adjustable hardness. It charges with USB-C, so no change there. It is plug-and-play and has a special menu on the PS5. It is quite heavy.
Pros
- Sturdy
- You can program the entire remote control, each button
- Easy menu if you are familiar with the console
Cons
- Battery runs out quite quickly, about 4 hours
- Heavy
- Quite expensive, almost the price of a console (Switch Lite)
Overall, it does not offer anything amazing compared to the conventional one. Yes, of course, it helps to change things that may have bothered you, like the joysticks. It is very good for people with problems, because we should not forget them, so they can adjust the buttons as they please. It has noticeably lower battery life. I do not think it is worth spending 240 euros, and a reasonable price would be 120-140 euros mainly because of this customization. If I see something strange, I will let you know, but generally, it is what you see on the other one. One last thing, it may be very good for the PC, although so far I cannot find any tool for PC for remapping.
I have been playing COD for years and I have always been looking for a GOOD controller.
Deadzone at 0 forever...., there is no competition when to have this you need to buy controllers by the kilo compared to any other custom controller.
If you are also considering Digital taps/smart triggers, don't worry, the button quality is so good that the response is sufficient. And with overclocking, you are okay.
As for the battery, yes it is small, but it is not for the gamer who sits relaxed on the couch. It is for someone who sits in front of the screen and wants low latency through a cable. (The fact that we hear comments about its battery is irrelevant).
WARNING: To adjust the special settings that the controller has and even to do a simple keybind on the back paddles, you need a PS5 !! If you don't have a PS5* it's like getting a regular controller. Something that should be mentioned in big red letters somewhere.... e.g. for PC users.....
*In case you made a mistake and don't have a PS5, there is a paid application called DSX on Steam.
Good in quality, a bit heavy compared to the factory one, 4-hour battery life in gaming, generally not worth the 230... maybe a Scuff would have been better.
No relation to the ordinary. It's much heavier and combined with extra scandals, it becomes the ultimate controller for endless hours of gaming. It costs a lot, but it gives you a lot if you're a fan!
As a design, it is fantastic, nice heavy controller and tremendous in performance. The great thing is that you can easily change the joysticks without having to buy the controller again and spend all the money. Also, very good quality, I saw the hard case to protect it while charging and inside the case. The only thing that bothers me is its battery, you may say yes, but it gives you a long cable to charge it as the cable can lock onto the controller and not come off easily. The battery lasts about 7 hours, depending on the functions you have given it and how you use them. Now, whoever wants to have it wired will never have a problem, but someone who wants to have it wireless will need to charge it every 6-7 hours. In conclusion, I have no words, it is fantastic in every aspect, of course, we are talking about an expensive device, it is not for everyone, solely because of the price. Also, the paddles, as you know, can be easily adjusted from the back, which helps me a lot in Call of Duty. I hope I covered a large part of the questions that people have. Thank you
Having spent the necessary cost to purchase two Scuf controllers, I must say that this controller is ideal and worth every penny. The only issue for me is configuring the joystick settings correctly to get the ultimate experience, but even still, this controller is truly amazing. The only downside is that it doesn't have four buttons on the back, only two.
Well, things are simple ... if you're a gamer and you've already broken 3-4 dual sense on the PS5 due to drifting ... get the edge to change the analog sticks with spare parts for 24€.
Beyond that...
Design: 10/10 just like the regular one.
Grip: 10/10 better than the regular one, especially on the inside where your fingers touch. It has a more textured surface to prevent slipping.
Battery: 5/10 it's terrible ... it lasts almost half the time of the regular one.
Extra buttons: 8/10 only 2 are the paddles you can put on the back and perform the same function as one of the existing old buttons. The long paddles it has are not comfortable at all and you will exclusively use the 2nd option of the smaller ones. The other extra buttons in front of the analog sticks are only for changing profiles and some system functions like volume.
Reduced response time on L2-R2 buttons: 8/10
Okay, it has an option that reduces the travel of the button, but there is still a small gap at the end.
Accessories: 9/10 the carrying case is nice, but I don't plan on taking it out often. The long cable is good, but I would prefer a larger battery. The lock for the charging cable is nice. The extra options on the analog sticks are good, although I left the mama ones because I put my own grip on top.
Value for money: 5/10 I estimate it to be around 150-180€ max, not 250€.
What are your options from the competition?
Go for Scuf, which starts at 220€ for the PS5 with better battery life and 4 extra paddles, but you will live with the risk of drifting on the analog sticks.
