The hiking tent Nils Camp NC6013 Rocker is ideal for anyone who loves a few days of survival in the mountains or a weekend trip to the lake. The Rocker is a double-layer tent that offers a bedroom and a vestibule where you can store boots, backpacks, or other equipment. The tent can accommodate three people, ensuring ample space and comfort while sleeping. The walls of the bedroom, on the other hand, are made of breathable fabric to prevent condensation while you sleep. The taped seams provide additional protection from wet weather. The tent is based on three fiberglass frames.

What does the waterproof rating on camping tents indicate?

The waterproofing of a tent indicates how much water the outer fabric can repel. It is measured in millimeters (mm) and refers to how many millimeters of a vertical water column (and therefore pressure) a square centimeter of fabric can withstand without being penetrated by water.

The higher the degree of waterproofing, the less breathable the fabric is, and thus the warmer the tent. Common waterproofing values range from 500mm to 10000mm. Theoretically, any fabric with waterproofing >1000mm is considered waterproof. For example, a summer tent may have waterproofing from 500 to 1500mm.

Fiberglass frame

The frame made of fiberglass is a common choice for the construction of camping tents. It is a lightweight and durable material, made from fiberglass fibers that are usually coated with polyester to protect them from water and moisture.

Fiberglass is flexible, allowing the frame to be lightweight and flexible to support the tent fabric.

What does the feature polyester 190T mean?

T means Thread that is fiber and the number reveals the sum of the vertical and horizontal fibers in a square inch of fabric (see photo). The larger the Thread, the denser the weave and the greater the durability of the fabric.
