Description

Nothing foreshadowed the massive upheavals that a simple visit, following an invitation, to the law office of N. & A. Apergis in Athens would bring to the quiet life of Artemis Athinaidou.

The urgent need for money, combined with the enormous, cursed inheritance she unexpectedly acquired from her mortally twisted enemy, brought her face to face with moral dilemmas.

Should she accept the inheritance under the existing condition to save her orphanages and the orphans she protected? Should she pay off the debts of her estate and not dismiss any of the people working for her? Or should she follow her heart that was shouting NO?

Was the advice given by her lawyer a temporary godsend solution? Or was it the beginning that would bring to light everything that the thick protective veil of oblivion, which she had created herself to cover her horrific childhood, had concealed?

And the charming Adonis Apergis, would he become her salvation? Or her ultimate destruction, with the fire his presence in her life would ignite within her?

Emotions unknown until that moment… Love, Passion, and Jealousy, disturbed her senses. And a Love Strictly Forbidden for them! A Destructive Love! A Love of Fire… that not only burned the body but also consumed her soul entirely, dragging her completely into its vortex…

  • A book that surprised me from the first page to the last word. Love, mystery, and many twists. For me, one of the best romantic books for 2022. The author, with simple and concise writing, puts us in the fire and with her pen guides us through paths that leave us breathless. I highly recommend it, it should not be missing from anyone's library.

  • A very powerful emotional novel was recently released by Pigi Publications. It is the third work by the esteemed author Penelope Piatoulaki, titled "Love on Fire". The title perfectly characterizes it, as it truly is a book full of fire. It is a novel that speaks directly to the reader's soul and evokes a variety of emotions. The author's rich and descriptive language managed to captivate me until the very last page of the text. It delicately touches upon the issue of sexual abuse and the consequences of this criminal act. Through its cohesive story, it highlights this criminal phenomenon that plagues human society in all its dimensions.
I have read two other exceptional books by Mrs. Piatoulaki and I must admit that once again she pleasantly surprised me. When I picked up "Love on Fire", I was certain it would be another literary masterpiece. My intuition and choice were completely justified. I will give you a small literary taste to get you into the mood of the plot, and when you read it, you will have the joy of discovering the mysteries it holds on your own.
An unexpected inheritance will bring about enormous upheavals in Artemis' life and will resurrect the ghosts of her past. The painful memories of her childhood will resurface and engulf her. The hand offered to her by Adonis is what will support her, but at the same time, his own secrets will confuse her.
Startling twists disrupt the established facts. The redemptive light of truth will wash away the foggy shadows of the past, bringing to the surface shocking secrets. Emotion, suspense, and mystery constantly alternate throughout the plot. The tragedy of the fires that swept through Mati a few years ago comes to life within the text. The author has successfully conveyed the multitude of emotions that the disaster generated.
I recommend that you also read the story of Adonis and Artemis. It will move you, take you on a journey, and make you reflect. The flames of truth may have burned their lives, but their love will become the catalyst for their rebirth from the ashes.
Congratulations, Mrs. Penelope Piatoulaki, for your work, and I wish that your writing pen will gift us with many more intellectual journeys in the future.

  • A very remarkable book with intense emotions and unpredictable developments!!! The main heroine of the story, Artemis, a social worker of two small orphanages for minors in Mati, Attica, receives an unexpected message for a meeting at a large law firm in Athens. She arranges a meeting with them and one of the two lawyers, on a purely friendly level, informs her about a remarkable inheritance in her name, which comes from a mortal enemy of hers. The developments are breathtaking and will captivate every reader!!! Have a good journey with Penelope Piatoulaki's book!!!
