Description

Thus, in his nightmare, through the evening mist, the short and stout Demon flies over marshes, lakes, and swamps.

He seeks a young woman driven mad by love and crushed by sleep, descends, and smilingly sits on her chest.

When a young student, Linnea Molins, reports to the police that she was raped in her own home by an unknown masked man, Anders Economides, the head of the Crime Department of the Örebro police, immediately gets a bad feeling: the perpetrator's careful movements and the surgical manner in which he carried out the attack indicate premeditation and experience.

Even more worrying is the promise the perpetrator left with the girl: that they would meet again soon.
Two days later, internationally renowned chef Kaisa Ekebladh reads in horror in the newspapers about Linnea's rape and notices alarming similarities with an attack she and her husband had suffered in their home a few months earlier.
Despite her hesitations, she decides to speak out. Soon, other voices emerge, narrating a story that had been hidden in the dark for years.

From the title alone, I thought it referred to something else. I don't like this kind of book. Maybe I am unfair to the book and the author, it may be very good for someone else.
