The book 'To Escape from the Balcony!' consists of 17 stories that take place in Thessaloniki.

As the dense milky fog, which often covers the city, dissipates, we observe the lives of people who live and act in the Loutra Phoenix, the luna park of the International Fair of Thessaloniki, the balcony of the cinema "Ilisia", the western neighborhoods, the Lymnocathartic of Kalamaria, the Hirs settlement, the gatherings of Christian associations, the refugee camps, the outskirts, around the walls and the port, in popular taverns and on the burning asphalt.

A sideways glance at everyday stories, where the heroes face all kinds of losses, test their endurance, and often get overwhelmed; sometimes, by touching the paradoxical and the supernatural, they resist temporarily, but in the end, they surrender to their fate and seek a place in the embrace of mother Thessaloniki.
