Description

A small province where men and mothers-in-law dominate. Girls, who dream of marriage from a young age and evolve into oppressed, exhausted, and bitter women. In this society, Emilia will find herself, leaving the capital in 1937, when she agrees to marry the musician and songwriter Damo. In his village, where locals and refugees coexist after the Exchange, the majority of the inhabitants will treat her with suspicion and call her "the Capital girl." There, she will meet and bond with Sonia, the famous wedding dress designer, betrayed by her fiancé Katinoula, young Anita, who is forced to marry a man she does not love due to youthful foolishness, and Nina, who has the courage to live her life as she pleases.
She is married for a week when the fire that destroyed her sisters in Pontus destroys her life again. Damo abandons her with his parents and goes to Thessaloniki. However, the war that is to come will profoundly change their lives and overturn many established norms.

Very good! Pleasant reading that flows without ever realizing how time passes. I would like it slightly more concise, but still it is wonderful.
