Description

December 1987 in southern Sweden.

Six friends meet to celebrate Santa Lucia night in a ballroom in the holiday home settlement in Gärdsnäs. The celebration ends in tragedy when a fire engulfs the hall in flames. A sixteen-year-old girl from the group meets a tragic death, while four others are injured. During the ensuing interrogations, they turn against each other. The police investigate the possibility that the fire is connected to other blazes occurring in the area at the same time. The case is closed when one of the group takes responsibility.

Thirty years later, Laura Aulin – one of the six friends – inherits the holiday homes from her aunt and returns to the area for the first time since that tragic night. Her presence stirs unpleasant memories among the local residents. At the same time, new fires break out. Laura suspects that her aunt did not die of natural causes. In her quest to find out what happened, she will be forced to question everything she remembers about that fire that irreparably marked her life.
