This book aims to contribute to the study and teaching of Byzantine documents. It was first published in 2006 under the title "Palaeography of Documents". Tables of Byzantine documents with comments.
The present new edition, with a new title, is offered to interested parties enhanced and improved in many aspects. Compared to the 37 documents of the previous edition, now 49 documents are presented, of which 3 are in foreign languages. The comments for each document have been modified, increased, and improved, and the bibliography has been expanded with the addition of editions and other relevant works.
The Byzantine period, to which the discussed documents belong, should be understood broadly, as it includes two documents dated before the Fall of Constantinople - which, together with a third document, constitute an interesting and not common group of early Corfiot loose documents - as well as five documents of the National Regeneration and the first Governor, very useful for educational purposes.
