The phone is generally very good.. I have had it for a little over 1.5 years.. The only issue it had was with the Google apps because they weren't available from the start and installing them from clones came with all the known issues! Since yesterday, I deleted most of the ones I had from Gbox and installed them from the App Gallery using the MicroG that I initially installed, and they seem to work perfectly!! I kept Gbox for the Playstore (and for any that get updates from there) and in case there isn't one in the App Gallery. If you have upgraded to above 14.0.0 (mine is now 14.2.0 after I did it), it's worth trying to enjoy the phone to the fullest!!

I bought it for a user with everyday needs and mainly because of its camera, which technically was the top choice in a mobile phone, believing that the lack of Google services would not be a big issue.
Unfortunately, it is.
Even if there are workarounds, they do not work transparently for the user, resulting in frustration over things that are considered obvious. (And yes, I paid to remove ads on Gspace, but the GSpace apps do not work exactly like those on Google Play).

The camera of the p50 pro is its main asset. Especially the selfie camera, which has a wide option and is very useful for group photos and videos.
It doesn't perform very well in terms of battery life, and it also experiences some minor glitches in games. The screen, in general, is not very impressive - a bit dull.
I use it as a secondary device, but now I only take photos with it.

Before the p50 pro, I had the p30 pro, which I don't know if I would have changed if the screen hadn't broken... This particular mobile phone is, as many have said, truly a "gem"... The battery lasts quite a while (not too long) depending on usage... With all data open all day, social media usage, and games, I charge it once at night and the next afternoon... It charges really fast indeed... I have had it for about a week and I haven't noticed it getting excessively hot like many have said, under normal circumstances, especially now that the temperature reaches 40+ degrees... However, the negatives are that it doesn't have Google Play, which is a big issue... Yes, if you download gspace, you have everything you had personally, but they don't function properly for me... Apps like YouTube, Winbank, and games don't run correctly, either freezing, being slow, or not opening at all... For example, YouTube either doesn't play or plays for 1 minute and then nothing, only the ads don't freeze... Games like Call of Duty don't even open for me... Additionally, the package includes the charger but not the headphones, which for me is also a negative... Of course, the phone is a 2021 model, but it was released in Europe in 2022. Additionally, just like with newer models, Qualcomm releases later processors in a 4G version, so Huawei cannot have access to the latest generation processor due to 5G. It is known that the Snapdragon 888 is power-hungry and raises temperatures, just like the Snapdragon 8 generation 1. As for the cameras, the mobile phone is excellent. If someone likes the P50 Pro but is afraid to get it due to the temperature, they can go for the Mate 50 Pro, which supports the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1, which is much more improved than the regular one. Additionally, for fast charging, when you plug the charger into the socket, there is an indication on the mobile phone for even faster charging. This feature exists according to the penultimate update.
As for Google Play, there is G-Space, which allows you to have 90% of the applications from Google Play. Recently, they also created G-Box, which allows you to have access to Google Maps with a regular email connection. As for Google Pay, there is currently no functionality. However, you can use applications like Curve Card or Winbank, which work normally. There is also a regular security update every end of the month.

As a holder of many mobiles and many flagships, I will mention the positives and negatives.
The positives: a wonderful camera that makes night look like day. The screen is relatively good, but the resolution is somewhat small. I would prefer it to be at 2K. It is a beautiful and fast mobile with the processor it has.
The negatives: the wide-angle camera does not shoot 4K 60fps. And worst of all, the charging says it is 66 watts and it takes an hour for the mobile to charge. It is unacceptable, it may take a little more than an hour.
The OnePlus 9 Pro with the same 66-watt charger charges from zero to 100% in 30 minutes.

I charge it every 2 days with moderate use, without playing games and taking photos at every step I take (with power saving mode disabled).
I consider 1.5 days to be the normal battery life for regular use.

Apps for GPS car tracking, cameras, and many more. Everything is ultimately available and everything works perfectly. I won't hide that it was a concern of mine, but in the end, it was just malice and negative rumors.

Huawei was my true love in mobile phones but unfortunately the attack it suffered made it malfunction, something that it obviously knows itself. Google apps may be installed but it will never be like an android with Google Service. Aesthetically, the device is a real pleasure as Huawei has a tradition of. The screen is very good but the resolution is small for such a device, as we are talking only about 2700 x 1228 pixels. However, the fact that it is OLED has saved the situation a bit. Not placing 12/256 and staying at 8/256 GB is somewhat backward. On the very positive side, the Card Slot is something we should emphasize. The fact that it is not 5G connectivity is simply unjustifiable. Its photographic capabilities are really amazing but there is enough noise in video shooting and could be improved. The charging speed is incredibly fast, as we must admit, as well as the wireless one. Overall, it could have been a more powerful device but nevertheless it is a fantastic smartphone that I would not cost at 1,100 euros.

There's not much to say, this phone is simply amazing! There's a lot of fuss about Google services for no reason, everything works normally except for YouTube, for example, which you don't have as an app and you just make a shortcut from Chrome! (Of course, if you download Gspace, you have everything related to Google and everything works normally, from your photos to maps). The only negative thing, if you can call it that, is that you simply have to download the apps and connect them one by one, which takes about an hour's work. After thinking a lot before buying it because of what you hear, I thought well before I bought it, but it's definitely worth its money 100%. Perhaps the most correct mobile purchase!! Camera? Incredible Huawei, by the way! Speed? It doesn't lag anywhere despite the 888! Functionality? Perfect; screen? Very powerful! Huawei operating system? Finally, someone breaks the Google complex!!! And don't forget that from flagship S22 at around €1500 to iPhone13 at around €1400, One Plus hasn't been released in Greece yet, but even that will be around €1300. P50 Pro can be found with 256GB at €1050 and it lags in nothing!!!
P.S. Those who comment negatively on the iPhone, at least they probably haven't even touched this phone and they have no opinion, especially on the Google issue!

After its arrival back in my hands, I have to say that the experience with the gbox is at extremely high levels with no operating problems. It's definitely not the same without the official playstore, but it's like having it unofficially at the same time. The battery lasts as it did before, but it doesn't mean it's good, it's average and lasts the day with moderate use. If you push it, you might need a recharge in the afternoon for sure. This 888 fixed the phone. We are expecting to see Kirin again in Huawei phones in 2024. That's when the company's big comeback will happen, as it never gives up. It competes with the devices of 2023, after all, when you get a Huawei, it's like getting an iPhone, meaning you keep it for many years and it's technologically advanced enough to last you at least 3 years. You see, the P30 series is still top-notch. That's why Huawei made it through, it provided technology every year and it was worth changing your old phone because you saw at least some changes at very good prices. You don't know what to get after Huawei, something is missing in everything except for Honor, which has done an amazing job with the Magic 5 Pro. I believe it's an indirect Huawei that truly surpasses everything and it's the only way to go this year for its price. This is for those who want and understand that the official playstore is an excellent choice.
