Description

Meteora:

A group of warriors with bronze helmets climbs the rocky peaks of Meteora. The invaders violate the sanctuary of the Holy Trinity. They slip through the labyrinthine tunnels of the monastery wielding sharp swords that gleam in the dim light. Shortly after, seven monks, members of a secret brotherhood protecting an ancient secret, are found dead in a ravine. Nick Dial, head of Interpol's Homicide Division, arrives at the crime scene to investigate the case.

Saint Petersburg:

The Peterhof Palace is crowded. The stranger appears suddenly. He aims and pulls the trigger. No gunshot is heard, only the sound of the lifeless body falling into the fountain. Terrified, historian Alison Taylor fixes her gaze on the water. American antiquities collector and treasure hunter Richard Byrd is dead. The only ones who can shed light on the mystery and save Alison from certain death are Jonathan Payne and David Jones, former members of an elite Special Forces team.

What is the connection between these heinous murders and one of the seven wonders of the ancient world? Who is trying to cover up the truth by spreading death? Where is the Lost Throne of Zeus that Heinrich Schliemann searched for until the end of his life? A major investigation that starts from Meteora, continues to Mount Athos, and extends to Europe, Russia, and America. A dark case that took a hundred years to solve.
