Description

The "Critiques" have already been in operation for two years as a philosophical journal dedicated exclusively to the publication of philosophical book reviews. According to its self-definition, the journal aspires to be a "platform for scientific dialogue and philosophical criticism, aiming at the scientifically valid and timely assessment of the value of recent publications from the field of philosophy, as well as related disciplines." The main goal of the journal is the deconstruction of criticism. We seek free, fruitful, and rigorous evaluation and assessment of philosophical work produced in Greece, as well as selected foreign-language publications that capture the interest of reviewers. Our aim is to liberate philosophical discussion from the binary of friends-enemies, which continues to largely influence developments in the peaceful philosophical community. This community, quantitatively larger and qualitatively better than ever, is still searching for ways and means to operate exclusively on the terms of academia and scientific rigor. The fifteen texts in this volume are indicative of the diversity of peaceful philosophical work and editorial production, as well as the interests of the community members who collaborate with the journal as authors.
