This small and user-friendly book is an excellent introduction to the significance of the holy icons of our church for children. At the same time, it provides a simple and comprehensive understanding of the meaning of five major feast days: Transfiguration, Resurrection of Lazarus, Palm Sunday, Crucifixion, Resurrection.

Which event of the Gospel do we celebrate on these great feast days? What is the meaning of various elements and symbols that we see in the icon of the feast? What do certain words in the hymn mean? How do we color the drawings? What are the basic colors of Iconography?

The book contains coloring pages inspired by the Twelve Great Feasts of our great iconographer Theophanes the Cretan. It also includes an introduction to Byzantine art and a presentation of basic hymnographic terms.
