One thing I will write to make you understand how good the battery is, I put it on 2/7/2011 to replace the first battery that came with my car (Kia ceed 2007). It is now 2020 and it still works. In the many years I have had it, due to inactivity, it has died 2-3 times but with cables it started again and continues to work normally. It has paid for itself and if it ever breaks, I will buy the same one without a second thought.

Did you find this review helpful?Before I had the Bosch S4004 60 A 540 Ah 12V (Czech), from 8/2020 until yesterday 1/2024. It lasted me 3.5 years in an Alfa Romeo 156 1600 c.c. with daily use of the vehicle without any issues. According to other reviews, it could have lasted longer. I replaced it with a slightly larger Bosch S5005 63A 610 Ah, for 90 euros, because it struggled to start 3-4 times and I was afraid of getting stranded on the road. Overall, a good battery.

It didn't last 3 years with obvious starting difficulties... I will replace it with a 100% Chinese brand, whatever it may be, since neither this nor that is German anymore, the Bosch.

In March 2020, due to the lockdown because of the coronavirus, it was not used and I was ready to throw it away, but my electrician told me that it can still withstand. After charging it, it has been working continuously for 2 years until today without any issues, but I will replace it preemptively with the exact same one (I found it for 56 euros). The good thing is that every day, due to the routes, it charges consistently for 2 and a half hours and never remains uncharged (in SITREON 1600 VTS)

Replaced in 03/2022 (5 years and 2 months) not because it gave up, but because it showed serious signs of wear during cold winter starts in Northern Greece. It completely died once due to Covid-related inactivity, but with an overnight charge, it was back in shape. I hope the new one performs as well as the first installation and recoups its cost once again.

In the first 2 years, it had an issue, I used jumper cables with another car, took a trip, and it was fine afterwards.
In the 4th year, during the quarantine, it had another issue, but I had it partially inactive, so I find it reasonable. I charged it and everything is fine for now.
Average lifespan is about 6 years.
Update: I replaced it with the exact same one, the first one was made in Germany, this one is made in the Czech Republic. If I encounter any issues in the future, I will inform you.

With the same usage, in early 2018, when it was time for a replacement, I thought it was obvious to put the same one in! In the end, I was wrong.. Once upon a time, when Bosch used to get batteries from Varta and put their own sticker on them, most people were satisfied! After contacting Bosch, where it was installed for 85 euros, they told me that it usually lasts for 4 years, but in your case it only lasted for three!! It used to be Made in Germany and had a different quality, but now it is Made in Czech Republic and is no different from the other Chinese, Korean... let alone inferior ones, and they are not worth their money.
