Bought for 94.25 euros. Papa for medium distances. Good fabric with breathability. Thick tongue for me with elastic that is tight at first but then okay. Hard heel with a large inner cushion. The sole does not have enough material, so I use it for medium distances. However, it is very good and stable, it doesn't give in difficult situations. It withstands a lot and its absorption and response are very good
It is the second pair of Ride 14 that I get for everyday training. It is very stable and suitable for paces from 4:30 to 6:00 minutes per kilometer. Very comfortable fit, good grip, and good construction. I would highly recommend it.
I take them out of the box and I have in mind for a start a 10 to see what happens. First impression when I wear them is good. I am impressed by the cushioning behavior in the heel. I am not impressed because anyway I land on my toes - metatarsals. In the first kilometer they feel hard. I have a suspicion that they won't satisfy me as I struggle to find a softer foot strike. In the third kilometer, I wanted to stop at the first trash can, throw them away and go back home barefoot and wear the Vomero shoes with over 800K (they are worn out). I swear that in the next two kilometers my waist will start to hurt (a minor chronic problem). At the end of the fourth kilometer, I find myself changing my foot strike in order to finish the training and throw them away afterwards (landing on the midfoot - heel). At the end of the sixth kilometer, I start to like the new foot strike. I can't easily explain it. There is no easy word to describe it. Probably the best word is BALANCE. As hard as it is, as soft as it is. At the end of the eighth kilometer, my foot is not tired at all. It's like the first 100 meters. The foot starts to appreciate that I gave it something different, that it got used to it immediately, that it hasn't tired it until now. I have a feeling that my waist will not hurt after all. The toes have enough space. The breath is excellent. At the end of the tenth kilometer, my foot has become one with the shoe. You feel like you're stepping on water (and yet it's unbelievable). You wonder how it's possible. The word fatigue becomes history. The foot says to continue. I started for a ten. I won't stop. At the end of the twelfth kilometer, the smile is permanent on my face. I want to continue just to see how it will behave in the next kilometers. Probably today a half marathon will come out of nowhere and every bitter person will laugh. At the end of the seventeenth kilometer, I'm getting close to home. I take them off. The condition of the foot is excellent. No pain. Comfortable toes. The heel feels like a throne. I wake up the next day and my feet feel like they have forgotten the previous day. In the 16th kilometer, so far I had an average time of 5.50. I calculate and see an average time of 5.19 in the 17th kilometer!!!! Good all the technologies that companies incorporate in shoes (and that I know very little about) BUT the final judge is MY FOOT. Period. And my foot likes it. Likes it a lot. Likes it very much. 52 years old, 67 kg. UPDATE 16/07 Total 120 km. Feels like the first day. Minimal wear. I don't change my evaluation, not even a letter. UPDATE 18/08 Total 220 km. (Normally I run 140-170 km per month but the heat is unbearable so the training has decreased and the kilometers... shortened!) Almost zero wear. Feels like the first day. UPDATE 7/10 Total 380 km. The temperature drops, the kilometers increase, the times decrease (3 workouts per week, 12-16 km per workout). Almost zero wear. They have become a bit softer, which suits me even more. Rested feet, no waist problems. I fell in a twenty-minute rain. Soaked to the bone. A lake-like road for about 2 kilometers. Going up and down sidewalks. They don't slip (with a little caution) and don't cause any problems. They provide security to continue the training. The next morning they had dried.
UPDATE 19/1
During the holidays, they reached 580 km (photos). They haven't torn or opened anywhere. Minimal wear on the outer sole. I comfortably run 14-18 km without getting tired. They will probably reach 800 km easily.
UPDATE 2/6
After around 750 km, problems started in the middle. The size 14 now comes with quite a bit of pain. A small hole appeared on the left, right above the big toe. They went into the closet, only to be used in the garden.
CONCLUSION AFTER 1 YEAR AND OVER 800 KM
Completely satisfied. I would buy them again without hesitation.
I have had them for a week and they are very satisfactory.
They have very good shock absorption, their weight is very good, neither too light nor too heavy. When running, due to the special sole, you have an extra push and internally it has special cushions that make the shoe very comfortable.
Update after 2 weeks:
There was a period of foot adjustment with the shoe for about 1-2 weeks, but now it is perfect! One negative thing I found was that they easily slip on wet surfaces, meaning they are more suited for asphalt and tartan
