The mobile phone has large buttons, made of hard plastic and illuminated. Unfortunately, there are others that have rubber buttons that break after some use. The calls sound quite loud.
The navigation button goes only up or down. It has side buttons for flashlight and volume. The flashlight even works with the phone closed!
It has a small memory for messages but the elderly cannot read them.
We have tried several phones of this type, maybe this is the best in this category.
A simple phone for elderly people with the main disadvantage being the very small message memory. It is tragic to fill up at eight messages.

I paid 55 euros and bought it only because I thought that as a well-known brand it would have good signal reception in a very low signal area where another brand from Plaisio did not work. Indeed, it does have good signal reception. But within a few months of buying it, it is the second time it will go to service! The first time it would turn off by itself and now it doesn't charge. So, once again, I will have to wait for a month for it to go and come back from service in the same city. Other than that, it is a simple phone and it doesn't even have a calendar. It also has the volume button on the side, which my grandmother accidentally pressed and, of course, it wouldn't ring when we called her. This proves that Panasonic didn't think properly that this button wouldn't be convenient for an elderly person. I consider it expensive. In the end, my grandmother couldn't manage with it and the purchase was wasted, although I believe it is a good choice for elderly people. But also for someone who just wants a basic phone to make calls with large buttons. It also has the biggest battery available in such types of phones, which was another reason why I chose it. Finally, I want to mention that if you don't insert a memory card, you can't save photos. It doesn't have enough space.
It has a clear screen, large buttons, and clear sound. These are the positives.
The sound for notifications (SMS) is a continuous harmony, very annoying. The few options are even worse than the default one. There is no option for a simple "beep" sound.
The menu is unacceptable!
You press the menu and the first option is multimedia/videos! What would an elderly person do with multimedia since this device is not aimed at... the youth?
I looked for an update, but I didn't find anything. It remains as they designed it!
Overall, the menu is unacceptable, whoever designed it is "clueless".
Although it has a lithium battery, its standby autonomy is mediocre, considering that it doesn't have anything special apart from the simple screen.
The price is high, I would say, for a simple phone, since they haven't improved anything in the menu!
From reliability the three stars. From functionality zero. Apart from the difficult menu, one basic element is that while the ringtone (with difficulty) changes, the ANNOYING sound of the messages does not change at all. It has 4-5 options and nowhere is it silent or a beep, guys. Mercy. It plays some music that bothers my mother and if you don't press it, it doesn't stop at all, we're talking about a five-minute song with a harmonica. Mercy, how clueless was the programmer?
At first, it seemed good.
I bought it for my elderly mother.
Within one month, it didn't recognize the SIM.
We changed the SIM while keeping the same number, and still the same issue.
Very simple, reminiscent of old mobile phones with a poor menu and few functions (which is what an elderly person without special requirements needs). The keys are huge and comfortable, even if your hands shake. It has a powerful flashlight with a convenient switch on the side. On the back, there is an SOS button for quick dialing of your choice. Considering its capabilities, its price should be no more than 20€; we are simply paying for the brand name.
I bought it again for a very elderly person. In the previous one, the detachable battery broke and along with it, the whole phone. It is a one-way street for the elderly, due to the large buttons and letters, which are easily readable
I got the phone for my father who has vision problems... compared to an Alcatel that I specifically got for seniors, it is far superior... the buttons are easy to read and the screen is huge so he can see the numbers and letters... I highly recommend it if you're dealing with seniors who have vision issues...
I got it for an elderly person who only wants to make and answer phone calls. We don't care about the internet, radio, or any other function. So I will judge accordingly. I should mention in advance that I have already bought other phones for testing for the elderly, the same month (e.g. Nokia 105 4G, smartphones, etc.) and luckily I was saved with this one. Before I bought it and continued to buy phones until I found a good one, I found it open in a large chain, along with all the others on the market, and I was able to try them all. It is incredibly rare to find open and functional phones with buttons.
It is truly amazing and does its job exceptionally well. If you want it for an older person, don't search in vain for another one. It is perfect and will untangle things for you.
The buttons are hard and clear. You always know what you're pressing with absolute certainty and they always work. Not like other phones where the buttons stop working after a while or you press one thing and another is pressed. Here, you simply can't make a mistake.
The sound is clear and loud for both the listener and the speaker. The two buttons for up and down can be programmed to do whatever you want. For example, missed calls and messages. It also has speakerphone and vibration.
The ringtones are terrible, but they are loud and do their job just fine.
Also, two nice features:
1) The flashlight with its own separate button on the side.
2) The back button that you press in case of emergency and it calls the people you have designated.
In the future, I will also mention the battery life, which is huge (1400mAh).
I think for an elderly person, I wouldn't want anything different at all. If you want it for an elderly person, it is possibly the best choice.
In the photos, it is compared to the newer Panasonic with buttons 4G KX-TU250 (which has the largest screen), which is indeed better in features, but the KX-TU160 has larger buttons and larger numbers on the screen. I also include a photo for comparison with a classic-sized mobile phone 6.1".
*Of course, whoever buys it shouldn't complain that the camera is terrible and can only store 2 photos, it doesn't have a radio, it can only hold up to 400 contacts, etc. We said it. It's for the elderly. If grandpa wants photos, messages, etc., it's better for him to get a smartphone. If he has difficulty in general and at the same time wants to see what he's pressing, this mobile phone is the best choice.
**One negative is that the translation into Greek was done with Google Translate. It's really laughable. For example, they translated "clear" (to delete characters) as "Καθαρό" (clean)! They translated "headset" as "κεφαλόφωνο" (headphone)!!! In no way does this invalidate the fact that the phone is awesome.

Very nice phone, I would give it 5 stars but I gave it 4 stars because the message ringtone volume cannot be decreased and the call ringtone sounds like a bell even at the lowest volume, like an alarm clock. Other than that, I am very satisfied with the purchase. Also, it does not have call blocking for unwanted numbers
Bought for my father who doesn't need anything more than making calls. This particular brand was chosen because of its name, but also because Nokia no longer has the same reputation it once had and I have had several Nokia devices that still work. This device did not impress me compared to its name. Overall, it is a nice, elegant, slim phone, half the weight of a smartphone, although there is a risk of it breaking if you put it in a tight pocket and sit down. Its operating system is the typical Nokia style, or at least that's what it reminds me of.
One major downside, in my opinion, is the sensitive buttons, which can be pressed with the slightest touch. They feel nice, hard, and large, but not rubbery, and if you put it in a tight pocket, they get pressed with every step. This presents another problem, which is that even if you turn off the sound of the buttons and they don't make noise during use, when you lock the keypad, the sound is still audible, and of course, every now and then when it's in your pocket, you hear beeping from the buttons.
The sound of the earpiece is good, as well as the volume of the speaker. However, it was observed that when I inserted an old memory card because its own is nonexistent, the phone had issues during calls, filled with interference, and the person on the other end could hardly hear. When the memory card was removed, the problem disappeared. I don't know if this is due to the age of the no-name card I tried or if the phone simply has issues with memory cards. I didn't investigate further because the phone won't be used for such purposes. Also, the ringtones are loud and it's hard not to hear them.
The camera is not worth mentioning at all because it doesn't make sense on such a device. Essentially, it takes photos and videos like Nokia phones from 10+ years ago. You don't buy such a phone for this purpose.
Another major downside is that it doesn't have a radio, although to my knowledge, the absence of a radio is common, but a phone like this, targeting older age groups, should have a radio.
Battery life is subjective as it depends on usage, but if you don't overdo it with calls, it definitely won't need to be charged more than once a week.
The packaging included a pair of average-quality handsfree earphones and the charger has a Type-C USB.
Overall, it's good but definitely not representative of its name or its price, hence the rating. If the price were a bit lower or at least if it had a radio, it would be a better choice, and its only purchasing criterion is phone calls, nothing more.
