The power vacuum provides a field of action for the well-organized and conspiratorial Communist Party of Greece. This is followed by Civil conflicts, Concentration Camps, Terrorism in the countryside, and Security Battalions. Liberation also brings about the biggest confrontation between ELAS and the Security Battalions, which causes countless victims and opens new accounts of bloodshed that the world of EAM/ELAS/KKE will have to pay after Varviza.
