I got it for a specific reason and personally it serves me well. I wanted a case that can fit together with the switch in the dock and be as discreet as possible. I don't think it protects the OLED if it falls from your hands. If you play a little handheld and mostly docked, then this particular case is good. If you want overall protection because you mainly play handheld, then look for something else.

I wonder about the manufacturers, how clueless can they be? (with all due respect to the Pontians) Do they even have decorative buttons for turning off the volume, or a switch? What logic is it to cover them in a way that they cannot be used unless someone removes the case? Did they even test it before releasing it to the market, if it closes, if it gets louder?
Anyway, it feels good in the hand, stands upright, fits in the base without removing the carbon, but it requires removal every time someone opens or closes it, tragic...

  The case that arrived has 2 minor differences from the one in the photos. The bottom part is transparent instead of black, and the top part of the Joycons is not covered.

  Personally, I am satisfied because I knew what I was getting. It's a simple case, helping a bit when your hands get sweaty with better grip at the back, preventing scratches from bags/cases on the console, and looking nice while still being able to use the back stand without removing it.

  In terms of aesthetics, it's the best thing since I have the OLED with white controllers and it adds another tone to the black and white which I love.

  SOS: It's not a case that you get to protect from drops. It's thin. Find something more "heavy duty" if you want it even for drops.

  SOS 2: IT'S ONLY FOR OLED. The buttons on the regular switch are in different positions than on the OLED! (Fully satisfied in this aspect, the power button was difficult to press without the case.)
