With great satisfaction and joy, we present the 3rd Edition of the book "Pathology" by the Pathology Department of the Medical School of the University of Athens (EKPA). This edition continues a successful tradition of the Pathology Department and specifically the 2nd Pathological Clinic that started with Honorary Professor S. Chatziyiannis in 2002 and continued with the Late Professor A. Archimandritis in 2009.

In the current 3rd edition of the textbook, significant effort has been made to reduce the number of pages and add more diagrams, algorithms, and images, so that the textbook fulfills the goals that were set from the beginning: To provide the best possible, practical, and contemporary knowledge of Pathology to medical students. At the same time, we believe that this new edition will be useful to residents or specialized Pathologists or doctors of other specialties who seek a modern reference book in Internal Medicine.
