The ability to analyze data is becoming increasingly important in many scientific fields. This book provides an interdisciplinary introduction to the basic principles of data analysis and uses illustrative case studies from the real world and a wide range of different fields in the social sciences to explain the methods of analysis for both quantitative and qualitative data.
