Description
In The Lord of the Rings Monopoly, players travel through Middle-earth as a member of the fellowship. They must buy properties to protect the lands from the evil armies of Mordor and earn money by charging rent and controlling the Ring of Power!
Players must control the ring to gain special powers, but they must be careful, because the longer a player has the Ring, the more dangerous it becomes. The eye of Sauron can make someone pay a heavy price. The player who has the ring also moves the ring tracker along a line of circles on the board towards Mount Doom. Lose or give away the Ring and the Tracker moves back to the starting point.

Did you find this review helpful?Very good variation of the classic game of Monopoly, very good materials, the metal tokens can easily decorate an office like a ring... if you are bored (like me) of the classic Monopoly and you are a fan of the franchise, I highly recommend it.. I give it 4 stars mainly because it came with a small damage on the box, as shown in the photo, a little attention doesn't hurt, I could still give it as a gift.. overall, I am very satisfied

I found the cards/instructions a bit boring overall, but at the same time it has 2-3 cards that can dramatically change the balance in the game and that is very positive (e.g. one allows you to take a "Color" from an opponent with whatever is built inside!!!). And of course, the extra element with the ring, when you wear it you are invincible but at the same time it is also a means to finish the game quickly. The only drawback I found is that the starting money is too little and that makes the progress of the game difficult. Instead of 2 units, it would be better to have 5. My daughter decorated the game pieces in the office - they are metallic, excellent, they are the well-known heroes of the movie. Also, the fact that the game doesn't end quickly is not necessarily a disadvantage - we are talking about monopoly!!! When I was 15, during summers, we would have lunch and then start a classic monopoly game, with 4 to 6 people (and a cat), and we would finish at 8 in the evening!

The quality of the materials is excellent, the board is stunning, and the figures are incredible, made of metal with a special weight. The game cards are very beautiful, well-designed, and the coins are made of cardboard (if they were made of metal, they would be perfect). Overall, it is perfect, although personally I found two negative elements, the "jail" and the "police officer". They do not fit at all with the theme of the game, and these two points could have been simulated with the rest of the environment. However, they may be trademark signs of Monopoly, and the company wanted to bring life to an incredible board game that deviates greatly from all the other versions of the game. If you like LOTR, rest assured that it will reward you.

Did you find this review helpful?Very good Monopoly with extra features that elevate the classic version of the game. It gives a great feeling to those who love the Lord of the Rings. The box includes THE ring (not of perfect quality, but decent). The figures are very good and detailed. The cards and locations are incredible and representative. The "commands" have their own "color" as they are enriched with literary character. The only downside I found is that the "money" of Monopoly, although it has a nice concept (and good coins), is made of thick cardboard which is extremely bad and cheap for a box that costs around 50€. One would expect at least plastic "coins".
Overall, it is worth its money and I highly recommend it.
