This book aims to raise awareness among educators of young children about issues related to socio-emotional development and its support within the context of preschool education.

Our goal is not to offer yet another book with information on this topic - after all, the literature, both Greek and international, is rich in both theoretical and research level. We also do not seek to generally present a series of interventions for socio-emotional development in kindergarten. On the contrary, through this book we attempt to highlight that socio-emotional development is connected to the everyday life of kindergarten and that behind the practices followed there are scientific theories, personal theories and beliefs about children and how they develop, as well as personal experiences that often influence the way we interact with them.

By providing examples from kindergarten life and connecting them to theory, this book seeks to enhance reflection, introspection, and the search for constructive approaches aimed at the socio-emotional development of children, as well as the personal and professional development and well-being of educators.
