Description

Electromechanical energy conversion is one of the fundamental areas of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering. The goal is the optimal (based on technical and economic criteria) collaboration between the engineers and the electrical components of an electromechanical system. From the perspective of an electrical engineer, it is related to the control and driving arrangements of electric motors (position control, speed control, torque control), with the aim of continuously adapting the motor to the requirements of the moving system (load). From the perspective of a mechanical engineer, it requires a thorough study of strength, as well as static and dynamic analysis of all individual components of the mechanical part. In conclusion, the proper design of an electromechanical system requires a complete understanding of the static and dynamic behavior of all its individual components, as the desired result is achieved through their action and interaction.
