Athens, summer of 2014. In the midst of the economic crisis, Marie, a historian from France, conducts research in the Archives of Contemporary Social History on the period of the Civil War in order to support her doctoral thesis. Unintentionally, she follows the journey of a couple, a female partisan and a doctor, who separated in December 1936 and reunited in 1948 in Grammos and Vitsi. The steps of the new historian lead her to Prespes. After this journey, nothing in her life is the same. The reader will encounter ordinary people as well as historical figures in their path from 1948 to 2014. The events revolve around the archive of the unified Communist Party of Greece and its transfer from Sibiu, Romania to Skopje, and then to Athens. Personal stories meet History and vice versa.
