Following is a sheet and whoever is lazy, the summary is that the game is worth it for the body-to-body battles, the feeling - graphics, and something different as it imitates the Japanese cinema of the 60s.
Without having any idea what I will face, what game it is in terms of story, gameplay, etc., as the only thing I knew is that it is an Assassin's Creed with samurais and katana, and because I have played Assassin's Creed games and liked them, I said it's worth it.
I will talk about the first impressions and after an hour of gameplay as they differ a lot.
Initially, pay attention to the brightness as I had it quite dark and I didn't like it in the first few hours, supposedly I went with what it tells you to barely see something, so I started but I changed it after 4-5 hours because I didn't like it.. I also tried with HDR but eventually turned it off..
1) The game has very nice graphics, beautiful landscapes, mountains, etc. weather changes. The negative is that the weather phenomena and the sky in bad weather look somewhat fake, but the game has been influenced and aims to be a Japanese cinema of the 60s in a game. Once you get used to the atmosphere, it captivates you a lot, if you understand the meaning and the area of Tsushima, it captivates you.
2) The gameplay is very well done, especially the battles and the 1v1 fights are something else. They have put a lot of work into the battles with various realistic techniques and many ways of body-to-body combat. I believe they have the best melee combat system, especially with the katana. The only thing that bothered me a little is the climbing, having gotten used to Assassin's Creed where you could climb EVERYTHING, here there is a lot of restriction, especially in the mountains and cliffs.
3) Although at first it didn't suit me at all, in the end, once I understood how to work with it, it impressed me a lot and it's very clever, I'm referring to the way it guides you to a waypoint, a mission, etc... the corresponding arrow or point on the map here is replaced by the air. What do I mean? When you want to go somewhere on a mission or to a point on the map, what guides you is the air of the environment. Very clever, when you change direction or get lost, you press the touchpad to make the gusts of wind appear more prominently. I took a while to understand this and every 10 seconds I pressed the air, which didn't make much sense.
4) Characters and story, not something unique but definitely the characters have depth, a decent story, and the story seems interesting (I haven't progressed much yet). Even the NPCs in the side quests have a little story that is worth the 3-4 minutes they tell you to see it.
5) Fortunately, they don't have as much crafting as the Assassin's Creed games, so you don't waste time on crafting.
6) Several armors that each armor gives you a bonus, several skins for your weapons without buying or crafting them, you find them.
7) I might be forgetting some others, but the most important thing of all is that I recommend playing the game with JAPANESE language and Greek subtitles, it puts you in an incredible emotion with the intensity - feeling that the language brings (those who watch anime know) as well as with the music that plays in the corresponding scenes, battles, walking, etc. Combining these with the images of war evokes feelings of sadness, anxiety, etc., but when it has a sunny day with music and landscapes, it gives you a sense of tranquility. They have managed to remove the gloom that the samurai had, calmness, tranquility, etc.
It's worth playing, it will take a little time to win you over, but it's definitely worth it as a game. It certainly has some minor flaws, but the positives outweigh them
