I have had one for 5 years now, maybe it was an older version with a different connectivity, but I have no problem.
The process for the one I got now was different, but the end result is the same.
I would buy it again because it is durable.
The old one has never disconnected, I have it connected to smartthings.
The new one required the app and then connecting the app to smartthings

It is the worst thing I have ever bought. I had bought three bulbs. Every day at least one disconnects. EVERY DAY. It's like I have regular bulbs since I have to turn them on and off from the switch in case they reconnect. Today, after a year and a half with this comedy of errors, I threw them in the trash where they belong.

Everything is good with color intensity and connectivity with the network BUT!
If you rely on Google Home, you will probably have a problem as the Google app sees the lamp as "Offline" every day, which means you cannot control it from there and you have to use the Wiz app instead. After a while, it may recover on its own or you may need to reset/rediscover the lamp on the network.
So, in summary: if you want to play with Google Home and tricks like "Hey Google, turn on <x> room light," look for another lamp. If you don't care about these things and are okay with using the Wiz application, then it's a great choice for the money.

Super the bulbs! They were purchased for 25 euros (12.5 each). They connected immediately! Because I read a lot of strange things about difficulties in connection, etc. The majority of smart devices (bulbs, vacuum cleaners, etc.) require a 2.4Ghz network. The new routers that transmit on both 2.4 and 5 with the same name may confuse your device. Simply create (basically, you take Cosmote and explain the problem to them) 2 different Wi-Fi networks with a slight variation in the name and everything is fine!
