This book aims to approach a subject that, in reality, has rarely been addressed in Greek literature. It is about Intercultural Music Education and its potential to contribute to the development of skills in recognizing cultural diversity in schools, through the cultivation of skills such as "empathy," "tolerance of contradictions," "critical attitudes" (instead of expressing prejudices and stereotypes), "communication-exchange." 

Listening in a multicultural music class alone is not enough. Through the application - within music lessons - of the principles, goals, and philosophical positions of intercultural learning, it is expected that the cultivation of skills in appreciation, respect, and recognition of cultural diversity in schools will be achieved, while it is believed that the transfer of these attitudes will occur in the broader social field.
