Description

The new series of Inox sinks BL by Karag, is characterized by high-quality construction, simple and clean design lines which add elegance and timelessness.

Material

The sink is made of stainless steel and is resistant to rust and heat, while also having high resistance to strong acids such as nitric acid, alkaline solutions, as well as solutions of organic and inorganic salts. Additionally, it prevents the implantation and survival of bacteria. It is easy to clean, requires minimal maintenance, and does not deteriorate over time.

Finish

The finish is satin, meaning it is smooth and requires more care, as limescale is more visible.

Installation

The installation is inset, meaning it is recessed into the countertop and its rim protrudes. It is the easiest and most common installation for kitchen sinks. Essentially, the weight of the sink is supported by the countertop itself, with just a few support points underneath for stabilization purposes. Sealing is achieved with insulating material, such as silicone, which is placed around the perimeter of the hole, under the rim.

Sink

It features a large basin, which facilitates the washing of large utensils, such as baking trays.

Cabinet

Beyond the length and width of the sink, you should also check the installation dimensions, or otherwise cabinet. The cabinet is the required space that must remain empty in the cupboard under the sink, so that during the installation of the sink it can be placed comfortably.

    First of all, let's start with the flaw in the description - the sink is not suitable for an 80 cm cabinet, because once the countertop is cut, the sides are flush with the cabinet and there is not even a millimeter of countertop for the sink's hooks to hold on to. It requires at least a 90 cm cabinet, otherwise the sink will definitely need to be glued to the countertop (as I eventually had to do myself).

    Apart from that, the build quality is very decent for its price. It is practical, deep, and appears relatively resistant to impacts and scratches (it is not scratch-proof, all stainless steel sinks can get scratched). It is made of 18/10 steel, which is a very good quality for a kitchen sink. It has insulation on the bottom of the bowl to reduce noise and prevent it from sounding like a "tin can" when water falls - it can be heard, but it is not bothersome. It is definitely worth its price and more.
